3 at the back might work actually. Would have to be with Sissoko OR Dier in front of to though, not both

Lloris
Toby Sanchez Jan

Dier
Aurier Rose

Son Eriksen Dele

Kane

We would need Aurier and Rose to have absolute stormers and Dier to be running his balls off.

Lolz at everybody saying Verts will be brought back into the starting lineup.

I'd be amazed if Verts started. THE game to have brought him back in was Newcastle.

Pochs handling of the situation has been a car crash and I don't see him relenting and putting him back in. In fact I wouldn't be surprised to see Verts leave in the next 10 days. Something has happened; it's not just poor form in training let's be honest.

Is what I think Poch will go for. Think Alli will be left out due to a potential England call up.

Sounds silly but could be one of the most important games for Poch as Tottenham manager. If he continues to be stubborn and plays a second rate team that couldn’t beat Newcastle then he is in for some trouble with the fans. This is a huge game. For me the team has to be:

Lloris
Aurier Toby Verts Rose
Dier Ndombele
Eriksen Lo Celso Son
Kane

I know he says Lo Celso isn’t fit etc but he played a lot of games at the Copa America so it’s not like he has spent two months binge eating on the sofa!

However, in no way whatsoever do I expect to see this team! Sissoko, KWP, Winks and Lamela will all play and we will limo to a miserable defeat.

Yep I agree this is the team he will play and this is the team that will lose, comfortably.

Alli back in full training so leaving him on the bench won't make no difference to whether he's called up or not.

I would go 541.
Give them no space to exploit. Hit them on the counter down the flanks.

Lloris
Dier Toby Jan Davies Rose
Lucas Ndombele Eriksen Son
Kane

Am I reading this right?

Are we now saying that Dier should be in our best eleven?

Is the premise of the thread what we think Poch will do or what we want to see? I've always viewed it as what we want to see. That being said, I'd imagine you, along with most of us, would prefer to see Vertonghen, who while he hasn't played, can draw on a couple of hundred EPL appearances to assist him with assimilating quite quickly.

Well considering he’s been apart of our best 11 for basically every season he’s been here don’t know why that would be so controversial.

Agreed. And we need more physical presence in there. Winks is not a bad player, but I don't think his passning has been good enough for him to start. And defensively he is mediocre. With Dier on the pitch, a player like Ndombele could focus even more on being creative.

The people rating Lucas Moura is making me scratch my head . Whenever he has started a game he has failed dismally and this man serves the team best as an impact player.
