What a saga this turned out to be. Then thread was started on may the 14th. Happy we got him in as every one is saying. He just looks like a poch type player.

Super happy, that we basically reinforced this state of play this window. We have work to do to get to Liverpool and Man City but I think it is coming.

Perhaps an obligation to buy would ensure PSG would get a larger chunk down the line, hence the option. I'm sure behind the scenes it's essentially a locked in permanent deal, though.

It's basically a ploy so Betis can pot more cash next summer. Reports say we've paid them something like £16m for the loan and there's an obligation to buy for a lower fee if we qualify for the CL which means PSG sell on clause is drastically reduced.

I read earlier it's an obligation if we finish in Europe (either Europa or Champs league) and option if we dont

We have an option to buy.

For that to be effective in legal terms, that means Betis have an obligation to sell to Spurs, and only to Spurs, if we exercise our buy option.

So no, no one else can buy him unless Spurs give their permission.

Wasn't it "Europe" rather than CL? We should get CL but I don't think we'd risk losing him if we missed out would we?

I’ve just watched them (couldn’t bring myself to before confirmed) - OMG he and Ndombele will certainly speed up our transition forward! Harry will be licking his lips in anticipation of those balls over the top.
