You would have to guess that we loan Coutinho as to hedge our bets re: Eriksen - if he stays we have Coutinho to push him all the way this season with no commitment from us to make the move permanent - if Eriksen goes then we have Coutinho as a ready made replacement who we possibly can sign permanently at the end of the season.

I have to say this high stakes game of poker is fun. Hats off to DL for trying for players we think are out of our reach. Perhaps the revamp Poch wants will take 2/3 windows to complete ... remember how Liverpool had to wait for players Klopp wanted

All if not most of the ITK this summer said we'd be happy come the end of the window.
If it transpires that the only other incoming is Sessegnon then the majority of us fans are not gonna be happy.
That mean that either the ITKs have been feed wrong info but more likely the transfer committee has failed to achieve its targets for the 3rd window running.
That is not good enough for a club that is where it is.
There is also the argument that even adding a replacement for the possible outgoing of Eriksen, its still not good enough.
