Also face the fact that we sell him to Utd which strengthens a rival massively and we lose the player that makes us tick. We dont get deals done or only replace him with 1 player who hasnt had a preseason with us, doesnt know the league and thus makes us weaker as a team and Utd very possibly finishes above us in the league. If you are honestly ok with it then im baffled.
The fact its gotten to the stage where he could join Utd is a shambles
If that happens, Ron, you’re my new heroI think Levy will ask 88m for Eriksen and settle at 72m
We will buy Fernandes and Lo Celso and Sessegnon
We are ok
I like your optimism ?I think Levy will ask 88m for Eriksen and settle at 72m
We will buy Fernandes and Lo Celso and Sessegnon
We are ok
Say no, get replament in, sell to Europe later on. There is enough interest in Europe and If we have replacement purchased and things are sour between him and club, he is better off walking now than being bit part player behind replacement and see his market worth regarding wages shrink. Sure there are risks, there are risks on any scenario.
So you'd let him go there for nothing in a year and leave yourself down £50m with a player who clearly isn't at interested as he used to be?
Ron I don’t know you but I hope you’re right!I think Levy will ask 88m for Eriksen and settle at 72m
We will buy Fernandes and Lo Celso and Sessegnon
We are ok
This is ITDK
This is what we need to hope for. That is called improving.I think Levy will ask 88m for Eriksen and settle at 72m
We will buy Fernandes and Lo Celso and Sessegnon
We are ok
This is ITDK
I think there are other options such as selling to someone on the continent at a reduced rate. It isn't my money but i'd probably lose 10-20m not to strengthen a rival.
Real and Barca aren't interested and all the other big clubs either don't want him or won't pay him half of what he'd get at Utd.
At this stage it's surely either Utd or he sees our his contract.
What if the only other offers we have he isn't interested in? There's so many things to consider, things we may not know about that force our hand.
Christian holds all of the cards and we have to accept that. If he doesn't want to be here and would rather play for Man U leave him to it and let him make that mistake. If it's Man U or Real Madrid but only Man U are offering what can we do except reject and rid ourselves of £50m if that's what the bid is etc. We have very little we can do, that's the nature of a contract expiring unfortunately
Easy to say...
Suppose United offer is 350k or 400k a week (they are most likely selling Pogba).
We reject it now and hope Juve, Atletico comes in with 40m and 200k a week deal.
Eriksen could just sulk and not accept. He could walk on a free next season and sign even bigger contract
There is no guarantee that we can sell him to a EU rival with the window closed. If Eriksen is willing to join United, he will be willing to wait for a year
If we get replacement in, it weakens position of Eriksen a lot. Year is a long time on football and after a season as bit part player, he won't be that hot commodity even on free. Top tier don't purchase and offer huge contracts just because someone is free. But key and risk is getting replacement first in.
I have no idea what you're saying, but im rolling with it, because you've quickly become a favourite poster.I mean first you have to have a sense of humor,a sense of farce. Second we have to know who we are dealing with. But with that we are a fly trying to get to the top of a tea cup but the fact us we have moved close to the top.Its called Teutonic physics (don't ask me what it is)
But I know we will survive,I mean we won't go down.Even Leeds already are not trying to do a Leeds. With Levy we can never ever do a Leeds.
Darlington maybe.
