The utter state grown men get into over transfers. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I'd always assumed it was junior Spurs that post on here that were getting in a twist.

Having been through untold windows with Spurs you expect the worst. How on earth would this current crowd react with a last day midnight Rasiak signing?

If eriksen goes for £50m su

Not positive at all. We will just replace not strengthen. We buy players who will take months to find their feet. Eriksen strengthens them, weakens us.
Cant agree with this enough. Letting eriksen go and replacing him with 1 AM is definitely weakening us short term as will need time to settle and may not even adapt to the league. Should have got him in months ago if eriksen was off.

I think what a lot of people overlook is that Fulham and Villa have outspent us respectively in the previous two windows despite being half the size of us. We are entitled to be disappointed by ITK suggesting that Sess is the only incoming as it does show a lack of ambition and commitment to a generational manager. JJ saying possibly should be taken as a positive, until it’s Thursday 5:01pm. Remain positive guys, regardless of how challenging it may feel (y).

I blame myself for believing in levy and that he'd change once the stadium is done, selling a top player to a rival while Only replacing what he shifts is never going to cut the gap, no wonder poch looks so fed up :(

Wait till you see the smile on the man from Argentina’s face when in the very near future he is at a club where they back him 100 percent.

Deja vu Same Old

Huge ITK vibe change

Dembele -> NDombele
Eriksen -> Lo Celso (and we might not even get him!)

Swapping like for like is hardly moving forwards, being brave, starting the new project.

This is just not good enough for what we’ve become. Even worse when this Summer had so much potential. And on the back of a year of zero transfers.

Levy is going to have to go some just to cover the Eriksen sale.
And then completely over board to actually make us better than the start of last season

:-/

I see where JJ is coming from with the £100m comment.

If we add GLC and Sessegnon this week to Ndombele and Clarke, we are probably ending the window with a net spend of over £100m. That is huge for us considering recent history. I think we'd all have taken that at the start of the window.

Can the club afford to gamble on GLC and Bruno with the risk Eriksen could see his last year out? I think we'd all like to see the club be bold but it's a big ask.

I said at the start of the window replacing Eriksen with Ndombele and Lo Celso was about as good as we hope for, and right now I'd take that. Gutting after how things were developing this summer but sometimes it's good to take a step back. If JJ says they are possible then there's still hope yet.

The caveat is if we sell Eriksen to Utd (for an extra £10-20m). If that happens then Levy needs to pull something big out of the bag because #&$% strengthening Utd.

To be honest, I’d be fine with not signing anyone other than Ndombele if Poch felt the same. But he clearly does not, he’s pissed off.

I think he’ll be off if we leave ourselves short again, and I absolutely won’t blame him. He’s too good a manager to be doing patch up jobs on an underinvested squad, and yet somehow making the top 4. He’s at the top of the tree when it comes to elite managers and he should be working at a club where he’s given the tools to build a team to win.

He performed a miracle last season and that should have been enough for Lewis and Levy to realise what they have.

They have to step up in the next few days and get his targets in, because otherwise we will lose the best manager we’ve had in 40-odd years. I don’t care about who we buy, but if Poch wants them we need to show him we are serious about giving him the tools to build his Spurs 2.0.

I bet Fulham wish they had held on to their money.

Some of you need to have a look around at how other teams are run. We aren’t City or Chelsea. We don’t have the revenue of Liverpool or United. We’ve just built a new stadium and yet we’re competing with all of these teams. Why do you think this is? Get some perspective.

Because Poch has worked miracles with a fucking threadbare squad, which is why he deserves to be backed.

He runs the Club very well in my opinion, but transfers are another matter.[/QUOTE

Are you baldy himself? Show me the trophies ? Show me the key players not making him look like a right tit by running down their contracts ? Show me the evidence of fully backing the best manager in a generation.

That's the thing though. How much have we made on outgoings? Trip, Dembele, Janssen, Eriksen (if))? Rose too? That offsets that and with the money coming in to the club you'd expect another signing to push us on. Because as it stands those incomings only replace those outgoings.

Poch wanted a revolution and by that I'm sure he meant clear decks but bring in substantial players to not only replace but improve. We're not doing that.

we’re no where near as weak as some are suggesting. We’re not going to fall away out of the top 6, no other team has significantly strengthened beyond us not even Arsenal still weak mentally and as powder puff as ever at the back. But we’re not stregthening enough to win anything.

In my opinion and only in my opinion, if Poche only ends up with Clarke, Sessegnon and Ndombele he will feel that he isn't being backed sufficiently and will feel very let down.

Think the outburst last week was down to him feeling let down already. Major rebuild, players in early et al.

Wait till you see the smile on the man from Argentina’s face when in the very near future he is at a club where they back him 100 percent.

This isn't exactly true.

Madrid - Zidane can't seem to get rid of Bale. Also likely to have to reintegrate James and is unlikely to get Pogba. May end up a player he didn't ask for in Eriksen.

Utd - Look what happened with Mourinho. Woodward is a bit of a clown.

Chelsea - Conte left partially due to frustrations over transfers.

Unless he gets the City or maybe Bayern or Juve gigs he'll still have problems.

I suspect he'd see Ndombele, Lo Celso and Sessegnon as decent progress if they come in. Certainly better than previous years. Hard to blame the club for the Eriksen situation to be fair.
