Well we had all of those last season and still suffered due to injuries/fatigue/international duty. Sessegnon will always get minutes because he can play LB or LM. Added to the fact that he's homegrown and that Danny Rose is not getting any younger, it makes sense to bring him in this season

Agree, I was thinking about the list of other english players mentioned above.

Fair enough, because they are better than who?

In our squad from last season?

Grealish and Barkley would’ve been far better and more useful squad players than either Nkoudou, Janssen or Lamela.

Maddison would’ve challenged Sissoko, Winks, Wanyama for a starting CM role.

Brooks a natural understudy and eventual successor to Eriksen IMO.

In regards to the Goat's ITK, saying that it isn't from our end, does that mean it's coming from someone on the Fulham side? That would be encouraging as what we've heard is that they are being obstinate.

A friend of mine who is a Fulham fan told me today we have agreed a few but are still arguing over the percentage of a sell on clause. I assumed it was BS but maybe not

Good news from The Goat. Hopefully this is announced sooner rather than later.

Although conflicting info from Herc.

I still think a buy with loan back makes a ton of sense for all parties.

Fulham gets another year to try to get promoted and gets something more than a tribunal fee.

Sess gets much more playing time.

We make sure we get our guy, benefit from the add’l experience he gains, and get a much more manageable price. Yes we have to wait a year, but so be it. He’s 19.

I would think like 10-15M plus Onomah would be a no brainer in that scenario.

Why would you buy him and loan him back for a year when he is on a free (tribunal) fee in a years time.
Waste of money, the tribunal fee ain't gonna be 35m

If it's true that he only wants us and Fulham won't budge on their valuation, at this point I'd rather us keep Rose and go for Sess in either the Winter/Summer window unless another club come in for him. Get him on the cheap in the winter or for free in the summer. I think Sess will be a top player, but Rose is the better option currently anyways. We have bigger problems to fix than LB if Rose stays.Get GLC/BF in.

This has got Levy scewing Fulham over on deadline day all over it
I doubt it. Promotion will be worth far far more to Fulham than what they'll get for Sess this summer.

Though I do wonder how bad his injury is.

It would be interesting to see what tribunal fee they come up with if it went that way. Ings was £6.5m + £1.5m potential bonuses and 20% sell on fee, and that was 4 years ago. I would have thought the tribunal fee would be at least £10m and other bonuses. I guess Fulham's risk though is he signs for a German club or similar and they get sod all.

Hence why I said we’d pay about 15-20 (factoring in Onomah). The tribunal is going to be in the 8-10M area.

If he goes on a free next year, it ain’t going to be to us. I know everybody wants to believe the fairy tale that he only wants to play for us/Poch, but on the open market when other teams are offering 2x the wage we will, that’s where he’ll go.

If we don’t sign him this window, he’ll never play for us.

Would make sense it’s from Fulham’s end and probably shows that there is still a good chance or it happening but may go long into the window.

This feels awfully familiar to Barkley when we thought we could get him cheaper/for free the following season, only for another club to come in and pay the money.

Or more like grealish actually, we want him, player wants us, we run the clock down, selling club just says no and no deal is done. I’d say it’s a coin flip right now.

Scott Parker has not given up hope of keeping Ryan Sessegnon at Fulham this season.

The left-back is a £20m target for Tottenham – but boss Parker insists the relegated Cottagers have yet to receive a firm bid for the teenager.

With next Thursday’s transfer deadline looming, the manager is hoping that situation remains unchanged.

‘I expect him to stay’

And Parker insists the 19-year-old – who is recovering from a hamstring injury that has ruled him out of tomorrow’s trip to Barnsley – would have no grounds to feel frustrated with Fulham if he misses out on a swift Premier League return.

The Cottagers boss said: “At this present moment I expect him still to be here.

“Obviously there has been a lot of talk, but I haven’t had one conversation with ownership here to say otherwise, in the sense of another team have approached us.

“And there is now a week to go. So for me, I’m looking at him and thinking let’s get him as fit and hopefully he can help us this year.”

‘Phone not been off the hook’

Asked whether the youngster would be in the right frame of mind if he remained at Craven Cottage, Parker added: “That would be up to Ryan.

“It’s not as though the phone has been off the hook and there has been a bid every other day for Ryan Sessegnon and the club are turning it down for him to have the hump.

“The one good thing about a transfer window is that when 5 o’clock comes next week and the door shuts, you can’t go anywhere.

“As a player you either get your head down or you don’t and it affects you as you go on. But Ryan’s not that boy anyway, I don’t see that as an issue in that sense.

“And plus, at this moment in time, there is nothing to suggest otherwise.”

Even if he didn’t sign a contract and he stays in England, Fulham probably get at least £15m
