I wish the white knights that feel the need to go into every thread and calm the apparently hysterical masses would just shut the fuck up sometimes. We're allowed to have reservations, fack off.

It's so irritating that every concern is met as if people are storming the stadium to burn it down and Levy heads on a pike, It's the same in the player threads, you say one thing and that's it you must not have a clue because you're calling the player shit, you can live in the grey it's not black and white.

I completely agree and I think this is why all of us thought it would be so simple to get this deal done and to follow up with the ITK accounts saying we have agreed it twice and then it’s moved there is nothing to say we agree to the next one and they don’t try again
It goes to show, for a change, that while many here have experienced Levy fuck ups, that this time round the shoe is on the other foot, sadly it's not going how we want. (from an outside perspective, obviously)

I hear you but we dont want to be fine, we want to win trophies. Repeating this every summer isn't leading to trophies so surely something has to change if we have any intention of winning them.

There's a reason Eriksen isn't a signing a new deal and is looking for a "step up", we're in the position to make the step up ourselves.

Exactly I do not blame levy for this.... if he paid the buy out clause people would moan we have massively over spent and if he tries to get a good deal for the club he is messing them around... he can’t win on this one unless he actually pulls it off haha

You need buyers - bar a tenuous link Ath. Madrid there is no one else near their valuation of the player - they backed themselves into a corner and now they seem to be fucking about - much to our chagrin.
So do they wait until another window or two when more are interested off the back of another good season? It depends how desperate they are for the money, I doubt we're going to pay in a large chunk upfront so maybe they can wait and see if they can maximise things.

Highlight the whole of what I said. Unbelievable luck with injuries. They didn't lose any of their key players for any length of time.

Sorry wasn't deliberately not highlighted. But regardless the point still stands. Since Klopp arrived they fixed that which was wrong. It's in our control to fix our areas. We cant afford to leave ourselves with too much rebuilding... Between now and next year.. LB/RB/CD and creative midfielder needs to be addressed. So whilst we can't fix it all now we shouldn't leave ourselves with too much for next season either.

Bit confrontational... I don’t think any ‘white knights’ are begrudging you or other panicky typed of your right to be concerned, they’re merely providing their view that it’s not all doom and gloom in the same way that you’re providing your view that we’re in a bad situation.

Everyone is entitled to say their piece and as long as nobody is rude to you on a personal level, I don’t see the issue in a bit of healthy opposition to each side’s opinions, we’re all here for the same treason after all.

That's fair enough and perfectly well argued however other people are also entitled to tell you to fuck off for going into every thread and sounding off all over again. A free and Frank exchange of views makes for an interesting forum.

Every single summer people wet the bed that we’re doomed if we fail to sign x, y, or z, yet every following season we end up just fine, usually with progress having been made.

I’ll be massively disappointed to not land Lo Celso (or equivalent) and not best pleased if we don’t see Sessegnon arrive, but it really won’t be the end of the world. As our line up today shows, even with a few seasoned regulars absent, we have quality and we have depth.

And the last two seasons have shown regression. Last season was only saved by the CL run. We have been fortunate that our 3 of our main rivals have been massively under performing too and we just about got into this seasons CL. We have a hell of a lot going for us, why risk when we can well and truly cement our place in the top 4 and more. We’ve waited bloody well long enough for it.

No good having the best of everything if you have no intention of going for it on the pitch.

Wages to pay and the fact they have been mooted as needing to strengthen further through out their own team ... Cash for the 10th place team in La Liga isn't what it is over here.

We'll see how hard they push the envelope.

Liverpool made the progress from finishing fourth to titel fight and CL win. The progress we made is just like arse, happy being in CL.

Some of you guys need to learn to filter out the noise. It's always been pretty clear that nothing would happen til after his holiday, just like Ndombele, he's due back today. Everything in the media is just posturing from the different parties. Just relax and let's see where it goes.
Sorry but why should I relax and see where it goes? Either why we are gonna have to wait but this is the 3rd window now like this so I think you can understand why I and others are starting to get a bit impatient with the club atm. Quick to charge highest kit price but not quick to get the business done in the window properly.

Betis don't expect the buyout clause to be met from the sound of things, but if be surprised if they were to sell him for the reported £45 million. It's the same old story with Levy leaving things to a very last minute. Wouldn't surprise me if no one else comes in the way it's going. Things have changed in the last few years and levys tactics of trying to get a player for far less than his value are no longer working as clubs have more money these days (especially in the bigger leagues) and the need to sell is less.

Where is it gonna get you. Do you think Levy gives a shit about what Fredo from SC says about the way we do our business. Chill out and let it happen.

I take your “we have quality and we have depth” and raise you the end of last season when our league form disintegrated before our eyes due to fatigue and injuries, despite some extraordinary heroics in the CL.

We got lucky, again......in the PL, only because of the ineptitude of our closest rivals.

Without player investment, that luck will run out and players or Poch will get fed up with the broken promises. Then we will have problems.

Levy doesn't give a shit about what any of us says, but this is just a fan forum to express our views and have discussions.

The more this drags on the more likely it is that one of the money clubs gets desperate and throws £70m+ at Betis.
