That was an embarrassment this evening. Wow.
It's almost as if sacking your manager when no one decent wants the job and therefore replacing him with an under-23 coach with no managerial experience is a bad idea. Who knew?

Typical Everton supporter
Actually hysterically funny guy .
Maybe Unsworth needs a gilet

Apparently they’ve reopened negotiations with Allardyce.
How unimaginative and fucking embarrassing for both parties.
Thing is though Sam now knows they're desperate, so why would he agree on a six month deal? Might as well demand 18 months to get the payoff if they want someone else in the summer.Well it's quite clear that Unsworth is rather unsurprisingly much worse than Ronald Koeman and Silva looks like it's a non starter. Right now as much as it's uninspiring, someone like Allardyce is what they need to just stop themselves freefalling into the Championship. If I were them I'd get Allardyce in until the end of the season, and spend the whole time really sitting down and looking at what the deeper problems are and identifying a manager that can work for them long-term.
Looking forward

They're up shit creek really, made me laugh how in the summer Mike Parry was saying that next season they WILL be challenging for the league, not this year though, its too soon apparently, top 4 was the aim for this year

He’s got the bent over, he can demand a 2 or 3 year deal or enormous 18 month deal. And he now knows he was never their first choice, or even second possibly.
And what’s their thinking? One minute they are after Silva - a completely different coach to Allardyce- who’s much more like Martinez who they sacked 18 months ago.
If they want a coach like Silva why are they even considering Allardyce, go and get another coach who’s profile is more like Silva’s.
