Pre-match prediction on a Hull forum:

City 0-7 Spurs

Pointless game but spurs are clearly still playing and want to win. City are down, out, dejected and playing poor.

Harry Kane also going for the golden boot. It's got all the hallmarks of being a cricket score.

So close...

Do some people on Redcafe still think Kane is shit?

To be fair I think 99% of them have been converted this season and now think he is amazing. There is the odd moron who continues to slate him though.

Checked all the way back to 1888–1889. No team with a +60 GD has ever finished outside the top spot. There are only a handful of years when the champions managed it.

Chelsea the first team to win 30 games in a 38 game season. So we're record breaking, but unfortunately so were they.

Arse Mania: Wow......

Spurs are a little like Hampton v2.0 atm (in style),, though are not a selling club(atm) and are experiencing the luxury of having a pretty settled squad over recent seasons with Poch given the scope to tweak here and there (and not wholly successfully imo) but still ultimately profiting from the usual top teams whom are suffering the turmoil of greater change in key areas or stagnation, thus if you look at it that way Spurs are not really pulling up any trees and could easily slip back to 5th 6th 7nth should and probably if the top teams rediscover their niche.

You could be even a little more critical with Spurs in the sense that with the onset of big money in PL atm there are a lot of teams top, middle and bottom in a state of flux blooding multiple new players in key positions that if they(Spurs) were as good as the media makes out should not be recording 8 draws and four losses thus far as a title challenging team in a league where they have the benefit of such a settled squad, Chelsea for the most part has that luxury too and look at them.

Next season is their(Spurs) making or breaking but most probably the latter with the stadium change. I wonder how many players might seek out should they fall down the table. Tbh some may think it now, that some of the these Spurs players are elite, but you take them out of that organized, settled side and put them as an individual in a say, Arsenal, Manu, Mcity shirt whom would flourish, who would shine, who would stand out in these sides as they play atm. In regards I believe that the whole is a great deal greater than the sum of its parts, thus would not be that interested in buying any one of them.

I love it when a moron tries to speak in a way that masks how much of a moron they truly are

I still know United fans who think Shearer was overrated because he turned them down.

It's not even a lie.

I know a United fan, an older one, started, and continued, supporting them when they weren't that good - in the mid seventies through the eighties, and is usually quite sensible (for them). I mentioned Shearer one day and he was virtually frothing at the gash mouth. The convo went like this:

Me: "Blah blah blah Alan Shearer blah blah blah."

Him: "I fooking hate that ****."

Me: "Why, what's your problem with Shearer'"

Him: "The **** turned us down...we were the best team in the country and he turned us down. Who does he think he is...the ****."

Me: "Yeah, but he joined his home town club. And they were challenging you at the top of the table at the time. Surely you can see why he would want to do that and it wasn't really a slight on you!?!"

Him: "He coulda joined us when he left Southampton."

Me: "Yeah, but he joined Blackburn and they won the league."

Him: "Yeah he joined them...for more money, the greedy ****!"

Me: "Yeah, but he joined the team that won the league and got paid more money for it than if he had joined you. Surely that's not enough to justify a hate filled rant 20 years later."

Him: "But he coulda won things with us...more things than he won at Blackburn!"

Me: "But him going to Blackburn and then Newcastle didn't prevent you from enjoying a trophy laden era, did it?"

Him: "But we coulda won more...but for that greedy ****!!!"

Me: "Alright M8" [Walks away leaving him to his hate filled rant] :)

Oh there's more......

Arse Mania:

In this settled side they look good, outside of that hard work, endeavour and organization like the national team not so much. I believe atm Dele is riding on the crest of a wave buying into his hype and acting accordingly playing high octane with endeavour, has good athletism and power but a little more than average ability in the technique department.

My 5th, 6th, 7th projection for next season takes into account they lose home advantage with stadium move, if they lose players this summer and I'm pretty sure if results start waning because of these factors the likes of Dele will lose his ****, be brought back down to earth, be running on fumes and even suffer burn out and if Kane goes on another baron run. If either or that happens Erikson struggles for outlets upfront, other sides will be more settled next season thus will be a whole lot tougher and more taxing on what is realistically a team a couple of transfers or injuries away from mediocrity.

Someone called him deluded and he continues with......

They have not risen, others have dropped, they are a better "TEAM" than us for sure, I see us at the moment as a little cliquey and individualistic, if Dele played for us as We play now He would be warming the naughty chair for Xhaka most times. Tottenham are not really that creative, aside from Eriksson, they benefit from being direct, out muscling, and out working other sides. On our day, with confidence, the right "Team" choice, their endeavour would count for ****, We'd have them chasing their tales.

As I have said before, atm the new tv money has shaken up the PL top to bottom in recent times and not in a good way, they benefit from good organisation and a settled side (and should be doing better) whilst others falter in that department because of big changes.

Time will tell though wont it, The PL will settle down, other teams will begin to gel and fire on all cylinders and each game will become harder for them and that style of play will see them tire easier if more games become more competitive and then let's see how they deal with a little adversity and expectation as that will no doubt rise, it's coming soon, imo.
