I can live with a point at Goodison for the first game of the season. Some positives there for sure. Lamela and Janssen in particular.

Very good 2nd half performance but we can't keep turning up for only 45 mins.

Bringing in another 1 or 2 offensive/creative players is imperative.

I guess a draw away to Everton isn't a bad start. I think Eriksen and Alli are really going to need to step it up tho. Janssen looks quality although he should have scored. Kane was a complete ghost, not sure if that was on him or on the complete lack of support.

So is Chadli being sold then? Currently we don't have much competition for the starters for the attacking 3. Unless Jansenn forces a change of system.

Fortunately, the second half was better.

So, one point more than last season at this stage! (y)

Still should of had too much for them, had we put more into the first half. Much better second half but can't help feel a touch frustrated.

It's never that simple though is it. You don't start a game like you're 1-0 down with 30 minutes to go.

Point better off than after the first game at the same time last year ... I'll take it, onwards and upwards.

P.S Erik Lamela you beauty.

Gone from being outplayed to being disappointed not to get a win, fucking Everton wasting time at the end, must have literally wasted 6 or 7 mins the scrubs.

Anyway, draw away at Everton not bad for first game of the season.

Every Everton fan I know was praying for a draw. Looks like the team was too

Except our fullbacks, 3 of the England 5 were disappointing.. Like they haven't wake up it's the new season..

Eriksen is the same old unperforming Eriksen.. Really hope Son will get his chances when given to really give Eriksen a run of his wages to feel competitive to perform..

Fair result.

Disappointing first half. Sluggish. But credit to Everton, they played some really good one touch, quick tempo football that i wish we would do more often.

Much better second half, Lamela again being a cut above the rest. Janssen contributed well. Fair bit of work to do, but we should be ok this season.

Hate football. A draw isn't even a bad result after the first half but that Janssen opportunity will be stuck in my mind all week.

Eriksen, Wanyama and Alli all need to improve, they were shocking.
