Their fans will be right up for it, even if their team aren't.

Don't believe this will be a walk in the park at all for us.

Huge win if we manage it, but quite honestly, a draw isn't the end of the world.

But if we do draw, the reality is, to win the league, we can't lost again this season and we need to beat Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd.

So a win - Jesus, a win, would be amazing if for no other reason that it would give us room for another slip up.

How's everyone feeling this evening? Doesn't feel like derby day is tomorrow. Probably be a lot different in the morning though!!

If Alli and Dembele play (and are fit) I'm really confident that we can do them.

Without those two and I worry that we look a bit flaky. Mind you Arsenal are the biggest flakes in world football so it would make for an interesting contest.
That's exactly how I feel. Dembele can be crucial here and for the rest of our run.

My boss is a West Ham fan, so I have no time for bosses!!

And yes he wore a West Ham shirt in yesterday. How unprofessional.

Did you show him where the bins in the office were, and where to take all the rubbish, along with the rag he was wearing?

Their fans are currently all on suicide watch and feel like we did in the early 00's before a Derby.

They're all shitting themselves. They couldn't fancy this game any less

They are going to throw the kitchen sink. More than anything else, this very well maybe a match that determines Wengers future (which may have already been determined IMHO). Right now their supporters are a bunch of Claude's from ArsenalTV, manic with no confidence. As much as they're going to be going forward and after it, they are going to be on their heals ready to crumble into demoralization at the first chance. There has never been a better chance for us to put them to bed, and I mean in a coffin to determine that their future is unclear. They are well out of it, with a loss forcing Wenger to the gallows at the end of the season. From there on out, who even knows what that team's identity will be.

As for us, I don't think I've ever been more confident going against a team in such a pivotal match. We have played with an attitude that I've only ever seen United have which is simple: you're never out of it. In some way, being a goal down kicks us into second gear and we become ferocious. Very few times have I seen a loss be a benefit, but losing to Newcastle and Leicester seemingly happened at the "right time". I'm not saying losing is good, but a loss to West Ham may prove beneficial to give us the "clear eyes, full hearts" attitude that we've had all season.

There are two concerns I have: Dembele and Harry. Gotta give Harry credit for chugging along this long and this hard, but the guy needs a rest. As for Dembele, the X-factor for me all season. The guy who in a lot of ways make this team move a little faster and stronger. There is no doubt in my mind a win here can set the tone for who actually owns North London.

Cheers. COYS. GET. IN. SON.

Lose.

It's LOSE.

Not "loose"

Ffs... Is there some meme across the world to deliberately spell "Lose" incorrectly - I've seen it everywhere from Australia to fucking Japan!
1) When you have learned one of my native languages to the degree I have learned English, then you can swear at me for my use of English.
2) In your example, I obviously use "loose" in its more obsolete form, which is equal to the more modern "loosen", as in for instance (a) loose(er) shape etc. Hence, the spelling was intentional, albeit quaint.

Oh look... Everlastingse****s has disagreed with my post objecting to his spelling. Clearly Everlastingse****s has never worried about proper spelling. Everlastingse****s doesn't think this applies to him.

BUT THIS IS THE FUCKING NORTH LONDON DERBY AND WE'RE ALL A BIT FUCKING TWITCHY RIGHT?

None of us wants to lose SO FUCKING SPEEL SHIT RIGHT OKAY, LOOSER?!

Loose. I think Arsenal will be loose and play loosely and

Ya, fair enough.

BTW the post above loses some of its humour by the spell checker... :shifty::oops:

I always find it so difficult to enjoy these games when I'm there. So unbelievably tense.

Over the years I've seen us be outclassed, seen us smash them but still not win and seen us beat them a few times in recent years. None of those wins have been confortable (even last year when we outplayed them there was still a nervy ending to the match).

The only time we've had it all our own way was the league cup semi when Ramos was in charge. Would be nice to have another game like that!

In reality though I'd take a jammy 1-0 win. Just not sure my ticker can take it.

No idea if it has been mentioned, but Michael Oliver is the ref tomorrow.

Card happy. 17 Prem matches this season - 61 yellows and 3 reds.

Not read through the thread but I'm told DA is a starter tomorrow and his fitness is not an issue.

I'm off to my night of rest. I hope I can sleep well, whilst I also wish you all a good night sleep, we all need it.

Needless to say, tomorrow is the biggest derby day ever in 49 years of supporting Spurs. It is massive, it will define the future of our young and very talented young players. Lose and it will leave me depressed and deeply hurt, draw and the wait will kill me, Win and it will be one of the greatest and proudest moments of being a Spurs Comrade.

God willing, it will work out well in the end and we can all celebrate in our own individual/collective way.

I wouldn't place that level of importance on it. A win would be huge for us, but lose and we'll still be above them, and Leicester have a tricky game. Our next Prem games are away to Villa, and at home to Bournemouth, so entirely winnable matches that would lift confidence if the worst case scenario occurs.

This is not all or nothing. It's essentially an opportunity to put distance between us and Arsenal and pretty much end their chances of the title, or for them to cling on a little longer. This will not define our season (but it could certainly help it).
