I think this is the time to give Dier a break - have him fresh for Watford away. We have good squad depth and are coming up against two sides that can't boast the same riches. Have to use our squad to our advantage IMO.

Alli possible Dier needs a rest for this game. I would love to see us just attacking Norwich the whole game, but Poch needs to be brave. Chadli/Son/Onomah to come in.

Yes, we need to tap into this depth and allow players to define their roles.
Have to believe Carrol and Bentaleb will get a run out now that they have some game time. Followed by Son, Chadli coming in and Lamela coming into the middle. A couple changes to look like this.

Would like to see josh out there but feel we keep the experience in the attacking front and try to put it to bed fast.

The players have a full week off until the next game so no need to rest anyone. The squad rotation should then come in the Watford game.

Rotate pretty heavily with the harder match (on paper) coming against Watford, away, on Monday.

Reasoning:
- Give Bentaleb a start and a partner in Dembele who has been fantastic defensively.
- Lamela starts to provide some protection to Trippier. Townsend would just be a tad worrisome if paired with Trippier.
- Kane rests and Son starts up top in hopes of getting him back into scoring ways. Also gives us some more creative movement up top in what could be a really defensive Norwich.
- Defense kind of picks itself with rotation in mind.

lol what is it with people dropping Alli?
It's the same people that said he should of been dropped for today...and we know how that turned out.
At a push I can see the argument for resting Dier but there is no mid week game and there is something to be said for keeping the momentum.
We have fantastic strength in depth but making three to four changes with no mid week game, is just stupid.

The reason is because we play on the 26th and 28th and people are seeing Norwich at home as an easier game to win than Watford away so wish to rest players next week and have them fresh on the 28th.
I expect Pochettino will do a very small amount of rotation but largely agree with you. Best situation would be to win the Norwich game easily so we can sub Kane and a couple of others early.
