Atleast there is a international break in between - but I guess he will miss the Liverpool game on 17th - which is one game I wanted our best line up :(

If its a month long injury, hopefully he makes it on time for NLD on Nov 9

Games in between are Swansea, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Villa

In 2010, he broke his left foot metatarsal bone when playing for Hamburg. Apparently he played through the pain to finish the game & was later found aggravating injury. He was out for 2 months then.

I guess it comes down to whats the injury. If its any metatarsal break, it will be minimum 1 month + 2 week physiotherapy & recuperation . Unless clubs say more, its difficult to gauge. I hope its just some kind of sprain

via korean reporter, Son's injury is plantar fasciitis. at least one month....:banghead:

Thats bad.... From what I know, it comes down how bad the membrane is - if there's a tear or not. I know its not uncommon for pro athletes - its a needle pinching like pain at the heel. Rest is important - condition can reoccur. Some pros play through with severe pain. I guess Surgery is last option for pros, as I have heard it really delays recovery period.

If this report is true, I pray this is just a mildest form of the injury & not recurring one.

Shouldn't be too bad for us with Mason and Pritchard nearing fitness and Njie continuing to impress

A shame, but a chance for others to step up.

Out of interest does anyone know if Pritchard is any closer to fitness?

Now watch Kane get injured to really put us in the shit up front....

I've no problem with them playing their cards fairly close to their chest on injuries but Pochettino has been saying for the last 3 weeks that Mason and Dembele are 'close' and will be back with the group soon. According to his press conference yesterday Mason now 'might' be back after the international break and no word on Dembele. That's what worries me when he says 'a few weeks' for Son's injury.

Plantar Fasciitis can be a huge pain in the ass, though. Every one is different, and hopefully a highly-tuned athlete like Son can recover quickly than some Joe Schmo. He's also got a medical team dedicated to getting him fully recovered.

What a bummer, though. He was looking fantastic and basically just what we needed in attack. Hopefully Chadli/Njie can take advantage of this small opening and really push for some match minutes.

Any news on Son's injury? We have Arsenal, West Ham and Chelsea coming up in November, it would be nice of him to be part of the squad when that happens.

Poch said a maximum of three weeks and that was a day or two before the Liverpool game IIRC.

So worst case scenario he should at least be on the bench for the NLD, but hopefully he makes the bench for the Anderlecht game and gets some game time and then starts the NLD.

Think Villa will come to soon but even better if he makes that obviously.

Pity. Son was part of the reason for Lamela's renaissance imo
Agree I also think he gives the rest of the team a lift when he plays as well. I know he's only played a handful of games but I love the guy already if there is going to be one superstar to emerge from our season, it will be him I reckon. I can't wait for him to come back.

And here's me thinking it was a foot injury, maybe that's why I failed Biology! :p
