Same as Everton and then bring on Lamela/Chadli/Stambouli depending on how the game is going.

Think all these guys can get a rest when we play Besiktas, but I'd like the win bounce back against Palace and, I feel we could even go on a rout.

If they do need rest, I'd say just Eriksen and Bentaleb or Mason. The Kane/Soldado pair must start.

I would of rotated tonight and had rested some of the guys who did really well on Sunday....as the points are much more winnable against Palace but I understand why Poch wanted to keep the momentum going.

These are always tricky calls but I feared we might end up looking tired against Palace if its more or less the same team playing three games in six days.
To be fair Palace didn't rotate much either.

This game is absolutely vital!

The Everton/Chelsea matches showed so much promise, and if Spurs fail to win this one, then we're back to square one.

What do people see in Stambouli?

Don't get me wrong but he offers nothing going forward,
There's no point playing him if he's with Bentaleb.

Paulinho, Dembele or Mason should play next to Bentaleb as box to box

This is balderdash. In his last 90 minutes he showed more attacking intent than Dembele has in two years.

Was utterly Balzac defensively mind you, but was one of our best in an attacking sense.

On the Palace team, i'm surprised at some of you saying to go unchanged. Some of them, Mason and Eriksen in particular, looked burned out to me.

Bentaleb and Kane seem okay though. They're like little Duracell bunnies.

Vlad is part of the reason we have been functional in the last two games imo. I think his forward play is crucial and naughton just doesn't offer that.

Amazingly, vlad is now our #1 RB :D
hes the new Benny i.e liable to do something daft at any moment but cant argue that he adds something going forward that we currently lack. In saying that, i cant wait for KW to get fit so that we can slot him in there.

COYS!

Lloris

Vlad Faz Verts Davies

Lennon Mason Bentaleb Eriksen

Kane

Soldado

Go on then....

[edit] Oh, and btw, I think we're gonna batter them,
i'd stick with that team, if we play the same as against everton and the good bits against chelsea then we should destroy them.

Echo the thoughts of some here. Got to start the team that played Everton. I understand the reasons for dropping Soldado last night. It would have been suicide to play two upfront against Chelsea. Would start Lennon.

I want same team as against everton. Very important to win this game.
There is a lot of talk about fatigue and resting players. DOnt know much about this but how come Mourinho can play his guys week in week out and still smash the oponents?

One thing is for sure Palace will have a right go at us and their supporters will be very good. We need to play with the high intensity we've seen against Everton and QPR and really get at them. I agree with some that Eriksen could be a candidate for a rest and Kane will probably be tired.

Hopefully we will see something like this

Lloris
Naughton Vertonghen Fazio Davies
Mason Bentaleb
Lennon Kane Chadli/Lamela
Soldado

I wouldn't be too upset if Eriksen starts and maybe Stambouli or Dembele in for Mason or Bentaleb if either are tired...

Sherwood said something quite logical yet overlooked in post match ytd
--> Chelsea do rest it's players - just not in the traditional way of not playing them or subbing them out but by slowing the game down (to walking pace) when they lead and just see games out rather than going all out to smash the opponents

Ignore what Mourinho said, to go 2-0 up by half time is the perfect first half outcome they want

Tell the boys to pick up where they left off against Everton, that Chelsea away was a blip and that most sides right now will have the same experience at Stamford Bridge, and to tear Palace a new one.

Yep, it'd be interesting to see what the average distance covered for a Chelsea player was in the second half.

Same as Everton. I doubt that the Chelsea game would have affected our confidence too much, need to get a good run going now over Christmas.
