I've just put it into the Read Only.

I'm guessing, but I think everyone else was too busy fashioning nooses, preparing cocktails of powerful sedatives, moaning about Levy and/or giving us their expert onions on Remy again to have the time to add it :D

Oh, that? It clearly says that both deals are looking increasingly difficult. Doesn't say that they are off. Semantecs eh?

For what it's worth, I genuinely feel that MP was brought into the club to extract maximum potential out of players and systems in any case, which I don't feel we were actually doing. Of course I understand there are holes in the squad or improvements that need doing, but if this guy is the new Messiah then surely he can fashion an improvement out of our mob? Actually I'm more intrigued as to what he could achieve with precisely the same squad as his two predecessors to find out how good he actually is - or our players for that matter. I've been following this lot for too many years now to get hung up over 2 players I had never really heard of or even registered existed will play for Spurs or not next season. Ho-hum.

[Edit] Sorry talkshow - basically what you said in a much more long winded post!!

Would you?
Would you leave your job to go to one on a lower salary if you had the choice to stay?

Don't tell me it's different for footballers, because it isn't. Humans are humans.

And if Dawson wants to stay and fight for his place rather than leave, then fair play to him.

Possibly. But as a human, a decent human, I wouldn't want to work for a company who didn't want me.

Why go home to your wife if you know she doesn't love you. Find a new wife, even is she isn't quite as fit (y)

I'm really not that bothered whether we make anymore signings.

We've already made the biggest one in Pochetino and this season was always going to be a bedding in one. New philosophies, tactics etc.

Reserve keeper, LB and a young CB were priorities and sorted.

I'd love both MM and MS in but as we've been told and is becoming more obvious, need outgoings first.

I personally think (a fit) Kaboul and Vertonghen are good enough for the prem, with Dawson and Dier for the cups.

Now let's all stop all the "the end is nigh" hari-kari stuff.

And get behind our team

COYS

Why do people keep thinking there is time for 'bedding in'?! Pochettino himself said there isn't. There's no real top outfield players in the squad but fail to at least compete for the top 4 and those that are decent enough will be gone. Then the cycle of deterioration continues until we're not far off where we were when Enic turned up.

Wah! I want new toys!

As we are very often reminded ALL ITK should be taken with a pinch of salt. Judging by some of the ranting this morning it appears many have forgotten this.

Like Ben Davis wasn't going to happen. It just takes levy to pick up the phone. We really should wait till September before mass suicide.

Difficult getting players out? You know what would really convince Dawson and maybe Chadli or Sandro to leave? Signing a 20m replacement like MM or MS. Funny how players choose to leave when the writing is on the wall and has put its name over your dressing room peg.

Common guy's you know we are going to sign someone on deadline day. It is the 11th commandment. A couple of our players will be off as well.

Why are people being accused of being downbeat and suicidal just because they're questioning the powers that be? I don't feel remotely downbeat or suicidal but apparently I must be because I'm not altogether convinced about the way we do our dealings. What's that about?

How people are happy to see "how we go" "give people more time" and all that bollocks is beyond me, when do we say right this is our time ? When do we say let's have a go at this and go challenge the big boys ? Let's be honest we are nowhere near those big boys and if they continue to get stronger and we continue to sit still we will be sat here in 2 years saying the exact same thing. I love peoples optimism on here but maybe a bit of realism would be handy ? Poch is good but he can't get the one player he really wants in ms, what chance has he got.

Funny thing about Sandro is that I've always been a big fan...but the recent Bale saga has changed the way I interpret agent talk in the press. Sandro's agent has been harping on about a potential move to Italy since day dot. If he wants to go and play in that poor league so badly then by all means let him. He's perennially injured anyway.

Now the headlines
Unemployment went the the roof today with an increase 2m on one single day, a record, only surpassed by the shock of up to 6 million people filing for divorce on the same day.

What was the first thing Martinez did ? Strengthened... Barry was instrumental,McCarthy was also massive for them, lukaku fantastic and defelou exciting.... He addressed what they needed and when out and got it done. That's what Martinez did for Everton most importantly. A little bit more than vorm Davies and dier I'm afraid
However with the transfers from last season we have a much stronger starting point.
Arguable our squad is better now than last year with a years PL experience, and the defenders hopefully over their injury concerns.
A settled team is probably more important than signing new players at the moment, esp f we cannot move some of the current players.

People who are always positive don't want to hear anything negative....It kills their buzz, man.
