He needs to go in my opinion. A few games back I said it's fair enough beating bottom and second from bottom by the skin of our teeth and a two bob depleted Europa League side, but after being beaten by Arsenal, Newcastle and being mullered by Man City - it all hangs on our performance AT HOME against a close rival for CL football - and AVB FUBAR. He blew it and there is absolutely no excuse to disgrace the players and fans like this at home. Liverpool could have scored 10 and they're not even a Great side - I don't rate them highly. Levy spent MILLIONS and to buy the players you want then fuck up at Xmas like this is inexcusable, there is no way on earth these players should be losing by this margin or struggling against lesser teams. No Way.
AVB is clueless, even his substitutions were absurd e.g. taking Dembele off.

I don't believe he will go - so I'm bracing myself for a medicare season - COYS regardless, I sincerely hope the team can turn this around.

We could stick with him, maybe do an Evans/Houllier set up with, say, Hiddink or Capello or some other old guy who has won a load of stuff and commands respect.

Things clearly need changing, but I will be really sad to see avb finish like this.

Quite simply - I really think AVB should be SACKED NOW - The man is such an arrogant Toss. Here is a failure and always will be failure. The investment made in the squad has been a waste - I am still saying SOLDADO and LAMELA are a waste - But to be honest serves Levy and the Board right - this is karma. He has his favorites, but I had predicted today's game is the crunch one and I still see him being sacked before Christmas.
I'd be inclined to give Soldado and Lamela a break. It's difficult to on the one hand to criticize the style of football and on the other, make a judgement on whether the players in question are failures. They may be far more effective under a different coach.

Look I agree they are completely below par performances but take today for instance, we were instantly on the back foot by having so many injuries at the back and little room to manoeuvre for Andre.

The high line was a complete unmitigated disaster - is that Andre's stubbornness or the players not adapting, we'll never know but it played right into Roger's hands and the guile and pace Liverpool possessed.

I just think its far too easy to blame the manager for defeats and not enough credit for win's - the players were absolutely turgid out there in every facet of their play and if they don't carry out the manager's orders then how do you legislate for that?

Yes but we have played very poorly even when we have had everybody fit. He leaves us with no left back because he doesn't like BAE who was comfortably in the top 5 left backs in the league for years. Ade is what he is, but he is a bloody good player and club comes first. What about Lamela? Please explain to me how Chadli can play at number 10 but Lamela can't? Whenever I have watched him the one thing you can say about him is that he never stops running and always gets stuck in. So even if he is having a poor game creatively he will work his socks off.

No I'm sorry but AVB has had the chances and blown them both.

Not just one thing, mate. A number of crap things; like a left back who really should've been left back at home clutching a Liverpool shirt in his bedroom closet as that's all he was doing today on the pitch! Work rate doesn't even begin...
mate they wanted it much more than us, was clear as day, and the difference in work rate was stark

If you cant see that we have a really good squad then stop watching football.

Youre right its all the guy on the sidelines fault - nothing to do with the 11 guys on the pitch who can't pick a pass or hit the target to save their lives.

If you honestly think our squad is full of world beaters then I pity you. Outside of Lloris when he's on form (which he hasn't been for a couple of games), Sandro when he's not injured and Verts then the rest of the players are either just good, inconsistent, immature or still adapting.

Where are the other world beaters? Lamela? struggling to cut it in the Europa yet alone the premiership, doesn't look ready. Paulinho? Seems to be a rather average box to box midfielder (although maybe he is just overplayed at the moment?). Soldado? seems good if you play one very specific system. Dembele? Chiriches? Townsend? Lennon? In-fucking-consistent. Defoe? 10 years and counting still waiting for him to be anything more than mid table.

The squads good but take your Spurs tinted spectacles off, it's not that bloody good.

Tell me which of our players are in the same bracket as Ozil, Silva, Aguero, Suarez, Hazard, RVP, Rooney - go on, i'll wait.

AVB is making mistakes and if there was any chance we could replace him with someone better like Klopp or Hiddink I'd probably say go for it but people who think that's going to happen are deluding themselves. Sherwood and/or Freund is what's we're likely to get. Who knows, maybe they'll be better - fingers crossed hey, because it looks like we're going to find out...
