Right now (from what I can find and that means it is dubious) it seems that FC makes €6.6m per year. I can't believe they are paying him that. But Real Madrid and fiscal sanity are not things you often connect.

So that is £108k/wk in GPB. Doable but kind of not.

And remember, it's very rare that a player (much like any of us in our work) are willing to take less when they move jobs.

But hopefully that number is really really wrong.

Maybe we are waiting to see if benny is going to sign for another team. If its true and he failed the first medical and is waiting to take a second, we wouldnt want to be lumbered with 3 fullbacks should BAE not leave.

I think there is some speculation that Benny might not play again. And while I love the guy and will be sad to see him leave, I will understand the decision. But if he's done forever, I'm going to be crushed. lol:(

Not surprised we are apart on wages with Coentrao. Coming from RM usually means players self worth is inflated, and reflected in their demands. I think £80k for him is a bit over the top. £60k is about right for an international LB.

New deal with Roma, you mean?


Edit: not going to add another post on this. But thank for the clarification and I would suggest people do go to the Lamela thread as there is some very exciting things there.
