I think the concern is because we shouldn't have been selling him without having signed a replacement first. Obviously if we replace him sensibly then that's fine, particularly with the price we've got for him, but at the moment we have one fit centre back and that is ridiculous.

I think we were/still possibly are very confident on Vlad happening. Don't think we saw that coming to be honest.

I would like to note there are no guarentees in kaboul still very much a waiting game.

just to note milos veljkovic our serb/swiss cb will come into the fold this season. He is currently at the under 20 world cup. Missed his place on the bench against united this season because the club sent a driver to the wrong address twice by the time he made it to the ground it was too late. Vertonghen was named on the bench despite not being there!

as for monaco all of you aspiring defenders dust your boots off daws needs a partner ;)

I like this news, out of all the youngsters I have seen play I think he is the most impressive. Can play in midfield too.

Fair enough, let's hope it wasn't Chiriches! Though we can hardly blame Levy for not knowing that the Steaua owner is a Bond villain

Yeah, it isn't like Levy is a highly paid chairman. You can't expect him to wikipedia the chairman or know that a player has third party ownership. It definitely isn't his fault. Ever.

Maybe we have a top class cb signing lined up

I know this may seem ridiculous, and its probably already been discussed within these 70 pages, but i do wonder whether Pepe might be an option given the Portugese connections

I'm literally on this forum 24/7, is this fucking normal?

Can't wait for the transfer window to be closed because this is some kind of fucking illness. I wish I could put my phone down and stop jumping in and out of threads.

Help

The length of time it takes us to do transfers, I can't really see us getting rid of Hudd, Livermore, Parker, Ade and now Caulker and getting quality replacements in time.
Considering we got rid of Caulker in about 5 hours, cannot see any problem........

You know what. The caulker news has only just hit me, very odd. Came through the ranks, last season was his first season in the first team and I thought he looked good, he may have had some shaky games but defenders need to mature, they are not all born with positional awareness and how to play off the ball (Ledley asides of course) but I think given a couple of years he could have been a beast! Even Liverpool (yes them) fans said to me what a great player he looked, which is odd for them! Even of we buy another centre back who is to say he will settle? Just seems odd to me, a good prospect and one of our own.

Don't know if LLM can spread any light on him? There must be a reason other than football.

Pepe is a nasty thug. Wouldn't want him at Spurs.
