I know what you mean but it is in the grand scheme of things. Pirlo can be the exception to the norm, because he is world class. He is the one that dictates the pace of the game. The way the side is set up also counters for the fact he isn't a 'presser', because he is that good at his job the team makes allowances for him. No team would ever in their right mind do that for someone as average as Huddlestone.

I still think that Italian football is pretty lets say languid compared to the PL and for that matter La Liga and there are other factors (in terms of Hudds suitability), Italian defenders defend, Hudds biggest weakness is he is not agile and has a turning circle similar to the QE2, which makes it easy for nimble players to get round him, however in possession he shields the ball well enough and has enough nous to turn players and find space to look up and play the passes and from what I have seen, though I have to say I'm no avid Serie A watcher is that a lot of the attacking players tend to be prepared to make the runs. What always surprises me about us is that despite having supposedly pacy players we are often far too static and our off the ball movement-especially now Modric has gone has once more declined making it not just hard for deep lying playmakers to play long range cutting passes but for the midfield to generally play a flowing passing game from back to front

Regarding the actual ITK about Baldini. Was it ever established that Paulihno had third party owership issues? Maybe Baldini has helped smooth out any of these issues with his contacts in the game and his way of doing business. I can't think of anything else he may have been able to influence in such a short space of time.

He did from his old club, but they were agreed through the release clause.

Why are people talking about POTL and not the info? People wasted a whole f**king discussion thread playing ITK wars the other day. Absolutely f**king pathetic that it is starting again. Sort yourselves out.

On the ITK info, it is great to hear that Baldini seems to have fit straight in and is doing a good job. If the deals for Paulinho and Villa go through we will only be a couple of players away from something very special, which is great news for the club.

Back on the ITK....I hope POTL's latest utterings are suggesting that Franco has helped us tie up Paulinho.

Won't be getting too excited whilst he's still available and in the shop window in Brazil though.

of course he has helped us tie up Paulinho, its what Mafia Don's do, he made him an offer he can't refuse

Don Baldini is here to stay

Because its not really itk, nothing to do with picking sides it's just someone is having a dig at someone when it is likely that baldini hasn't done anything yet as we are the same stage as we were before baldini joined and we can't do anything as paulinho is in a training camp

Fuck sake. This exactly.

We've been told that the fee has been agreed, we've been told that Paulinho will wait until after the tournament before making a decision, there are even quotes for him.

What is he impressed at exactly?

Such unwarranted superlatives for someone who delivers so little.

And the myth that somehow Huddlestone will turn to Pirlo because the tempo is slightly slower is also hugely exaggerated as displayed in the Europa League this season - he just doesn't have the quickness of mind or of feet to ever command a game from the middle of the park nor dictate the tempo.

Don't have a preference where he goes so long as someone actually comes in and takes him.
I have checked and no I didn't mention Pirlo.
I stand by my statement that he is quite possibly the best passer of the ball in the prem however I support your right to be wrong so feel free to continue.
I love when someone mention him going to Italy people start crabbing on that he's not world class like Pirlo so does everyone playing on Serie A have to be world class then? Nonsense!

the new ITK from POTL says nothing related to transfers.

Baldini might have just turned up with a pair of shoes that go particularly well with his suit today.

That's just POTL for you just look at the way he says things, he is more interested in creating and advancing his own ITK legend than ever actually providing any context or background to his uttering.

If people dont like the stuff from POTL then just ignore it, someone else might want to see it

Its been posted and is probably more relevant that 90% of what gets posted in these threads on a daily basis

You 'support my right to be wrong', yet you stand by the pretence that Thomas Huddlestone, is the best passer in the Premier League.
