I know this sounds dodgy but my friend just had breakfast with Benteke in Vegas. He says he is joining the Gooners.

It was Tim Vickery, he said Bernard had growth hormone treatment like Messi but it wasn't as effective on him. I assume that's something you take as a kid when you are growing up though, not when you're 20 and playing professionally?

Happy with the ITK on Bernard. It's always going to be a bit of a gamble, but if the price is right (not necessarily in Levys mind) I hope we go for it.

On a side note, donated £20 since The Goat was asking so nicely and it's been 6 months since last time I did so.

Bernard would just be too good to be true - the only other time we've really pulled something off of this calibre would be VDV, who fell in our lap at the very last minute. Whenever we have protracted period of time chasing a big player from overseas it usually always falls at the last hurdle. I just 'hope' that this time is different. Just once Spurs . . .

Probably best not to get your hopes up. If this ends up anything like the Leandro deal Bernard would have retired by the time we reach an agreement.

I really hope Bernard is completely average in the CCup.

I know he's good enough, so if he struggles I won't be worried at all. It may be our only chance of actually landing him.

Not so sure about this piece of ITK but what I can say with some confidence is that the breakfasts in Vegas are a sight to behold! Steak, Chinese food, curry, cheesecakes and 20 flavours of ice cream. Wowzers!!!!
