Whilst I agree that i'm a little surprised more clubs aren't after him, you have to look at it in context.

Firstly Leandro is never going to be the next Ronaldo. He does however the potential to be a top 20 goal a season striker for any PL team IMO.

So the big teams are currently going for the likes of: Falcao, Cavani, Bale etc... players who are proven at the highest level and who will each cost in excess of £30m.

Leandro is not one of these, which is good as we'd have no chance otherwise.

However he is expensive enough that very few clubs outside of the top 15 clubs in the world have any real chance to afford him.

Marseille certainly couldn't afford him, the Italian teams are struggling for money too.

Thank you for a little bit of perspective and sanity - you clearly have been taking your ADD medicine unlike some of the crazies

I keep seeing new ITK news and then finding out its about this fella, does it even constitute ITK anymore?

And you assessment is based on what exactly?

More to the point though, who the feck else do we have any real chance of signing?

Benteke - don't think Villa will let him go for less than £20m
Michu - similar story here really
Osvaldo - made no noise about moving
Villa - not really the missing piece of the puzzle IMO and wages/age going to be a big challenge
Soldado - a possible and probably him and maybe one other on the list with Leandro in the hope we'll get one of them

But he's clearly not an average player or we wouldn't be pursuing him as vigorously as we have been.

It's hugely frustrating granted but the board and management clearly think he's worth the hassle.

This all started with the Blue and Yellow POTL cryptic, who could possibly imagine it'd be such a clusterfuck, eh?

I'm tired waiting for this striker we've been crying out for...and if this shit goes into 'Levytime' again, I will NOT be a very happy bunny...I'd quite like to get them all in a room together, LD, his agent/(s), DL etc. and slap the complete shit out of all of them.

Decide for yourself - He hasn't scored a single goal in the league since 23rd Sep2012 and still continuing his form & injury record.

Unproven outside of south america - yes
Most annoying player to ever be linked with - yes
one half of the longest, most debated ITK cryptic - yes

now we have Leandro's agent spouting out that Marseilles is a better option for him - would be nice to finally give up the ghost and go for players that want to play for us and their chairmen are willing to sell.

I think the sooner everybody just forgets the "we are confident we'll get everyone we want" ITK, the better our lives will be.

There is some truth in the Vermaelen link it seems. His agent has been putting out the feelers for suitable buyers, we have shown an interest. Dont know whether Arsenal would deal with us though
