Llorente is not going to happen by all accounts.

there is a new target that we have not been linked with. Still seems like a player who is out of our reach though.

What I don't get with the Adebayor situation is why Levy hasn't given him a deadline by which to sign? If he won't commit by a certain date we should move on. It's ridiculous that we have spent so much time on one player and possibly missed others in the meantime.

On Hulk I'm not as impressed as some on here. He's so left footed that he'll quickly get sussed by defenders here so offers nothing but a powerful body and cutting in and shooting. Here in my part of Brazil he's not that highly rated.

Watched Hulk a couple of times, good technique, big and strong but I agree a bit one dimensional. He looks as if he might have a weight problem on the horizon, got a huge ass and thighs, a bit like the wife!!

If anything it looks like we're buying the talent even younger now. Players keep sneaking into our academy without us hearing where they came from. Veljkovic, Bentaleb, Gallifuoco, Shehu, Vigouroux, Gomelt, Lesniak. Etc.
is that the lord of rings academy?

I'm terrified at this prospect TBH.

Makes me wonder why we sold Crouch.

Exactly. I'm sure people will think this is ridiculous and list all the reasons why Crouch is apparently 'shit' however that's missing the point.

Do I think Crouch and Pav were the best strikers we could have playing for Spurs? No of course not. However we're not far off the all too predictable scenario of Levy having to desperately search for some last-minute striker or two, when our unrealistic targets turn out to be, well, unrealistic. Only this time we have no fall-back options, which one or both of Crouch and Pav would certainly have represented.

Don't worry all DL has a plan. I hear mumbles that Levy is pulling all the stops for the superstars that are Carew and Heskey before the end of the window..

He might have had the shot of an eleven year old girl but at least he was rarely injured and won knock-downs for VdV...

Does everyone realize that landing both Leandro and Moutinho would cost us over 50 million pounds? I cannot imagine Daniel Levy sanctioning that kind of spending, as both of those transfers would utterly smash our record fee paid.

I really think it's time we looked at quality alternatives that are out there under the radar. I mentioned in a Spurs Chat thread why I thought Keisuke Honda would be an excellent Modric replacement for less than half of what Moutinho would go for. I think he's up for the challenge of leaving Russia and would settle quickly, given that he's lived abroad in Russia and Holland for a long time.

As for strikers, I think Adebayor is realistically the best we can hope for. I suspect he'll be our only addition, if we can hammer out the wage demands.

He does look a bit like the male version of Pinky (if you don't know who she is google her with safe search off). He's no more left footed than Bale though really. Even though you know what he's going to do its pretty difficult to stop him doing it.
