Really would like Dembele, I just don't believe we'll shell out well over 20 million for Moutinho.

Makes sense to get Dembele in before Modric goes anyway, otherwise Fulham will be sticking the arm in.

But then you don't know what Fulham are quoting either! ;)

Thank fuck for that, this place needs a lift and we need to get our finger out of our arse with Newcastle only two weeks away.

I have a feeling that Dembele will involve Jol favorite Jenas going the other way. Just a gut feeling. If it happens Dembele will be the biggest selling shirt in the history of Spurs :D

Looks like we're not gonna sign any one - Boo hoo, where are my shoe laces.

Sorry, things are moving along nicely - yea! My round, whose for champagne?

Dembele? Please let this happen, although I don't pay much attention to ITK's if I'm honest.

Dembele may not be a better player than Moutinho. But he is much more affordable. And very versatile.

Would be an excellent signing.

Jol might push for Huddlestone, which I hope AVB doesn't allow, but we have enough dead wood for a player deal.

Need someone in the middle of the pitch that won't give it away so we don't have to rely on the wings/width all the time. Dembele's a good enough candidate for that imo. Does it a different way than Modric but I'm fairly convinced he can connect the back to front. Plus if we're gonna play the high-line, you need everyone to press so you don't give them time launch longball after longball over you, he does it from fairly center/high up position so that's good too. Him and Sandro would make a guy think twice about wasting time picking out a pass.

Dembele would be a great signing. I have felt for a while that man Utd would come in for him at some point, I'm amazed that haven't. Would be superb for us and a midfield 3 of Dembele, Sandro and Siggy with Parker and Thudd on the bench leaves us looking pretty strong in the middle.

To paraphrase a famous saying; a striker is for 4 or 5 years not for August.

It's all very well for us to want biz done early but there are major sums involved and if you pay up and get it wrong you are stuffed for years after. Just think back 12 months to Liverpool buying early Charlie Adam, Sebastian Coates, Stuart Downing, Jordan Henderson, done quickly because they over paid, everyone said they'd get 4th but now we know they bought badly and can't shift them. Arguably the same is true of Manure, early moves for Ashley Young, Phil Jones and David de Gea, does anyone think any of those players were a success ? Would Manure get anyway close to what they paid if they tried to sell them now ? I think not.

Patience is a virtue in short supply on SC it would seem.

I think I am more excited about the prospect of Jenas leaving than actually signing any players!

Akqayid asked JJ if the thing which is moving is on lockdown:

Yes it is and there are reasons for that which will become apparent.

Which leads me to think it's not Adebayor he's talking about.

Just someone who can put the ball in the back of the net on a regular basis and can lead the line competently without falling over himself is all I'm asking for.

Fletcher won't happen I'm fairly sure of that but he's the type of striker that we should be in the market for.
Rondon. Every day of the week. Baffled as to why we aren't in for him.

Jol might push for Huddlestone......
That's not a bad shout. I remember when Thudd was getting his first games for us Jol commented that he'd asked Chris Hughton (I think) why we didn't play him every week.

Personally I hope that we keep big Tom. He may not be universally liked, but I think he's a hell of a footballer.

I think that move would be best suited for all parties involved and I could see some legs in it but then these player swap deals hardly ever happen in the real world.

Kind of what Happy Spur said just got a feeling but also don't see why we'd need to keep quiet about anything to do with Ade since every man and his dog knows we're after him/at advance stages. (I asked my dog anyway and he knew.)
