AVB didn't start at Porto. He took a lower level club to mid table safety then got his big job and took it unbelievably well.
Had a long game planned at chavski and never got to carry it out because the senior players at the club weren't ready to be phased out and the new players weren't up to it. Strange to think but if they had signed Modric and not Miereles, all 3 of Harry, Kenny and AVB could still be in a job.
I think/hope AVB will be an incredible manager at Spurs. I just hope he gets the right coaching team.

The fact ITK is so quiet makes me think that Harry was the source for a lot of ITK's either that or Jordan/Bond, those people would be out of the loop now, POTL has been ominously quiet as has Peanut
POTL will be on holiday at the moment but he will be back.

This isn't the place for this but Moyes sold Johnson for £10.5m to Fulham (a £2m profit) and the Yak got 25 goals in 82 games despite missing a whole season with injury. Were Keane (second time) and Crouch any better at Spurs? They all served their purpose and were moved on....Redknapp didn't have loads of money to spend before Spurs either...

Moyes' record pre Spurs is a whole lot better than Redknapp's....and whoever suggested he'd sell Mod, VDV and Bale and replace them with Everton players is just moronic....do people really believe this sort of shite?? He's a class operator and an intelligent manager whether he comes to Spurs or not...

Think it's Blanc. Reason for delay; like Harry but much, much better; JJ's words on AVB today (or yesterday); Noodles or Peanut saying our man was at the Euros; Blanc's contract running out after the Euros; and him expressing his opinion on wanting to come to the Prem; fact AVB isn't tied up yet.

I tend to agree and sincerely hope you are right ! Got a cheeky 45 quid on him with returns of £1125, with a tenner on AVB with returns of £45 just to cover my ass !!

I have noticed that ValenciaYid has slyly been making an argument for AVB on another thread that shall not be named. Subtle hinting that he knows something ?

Agent ITK on twitter:
@Agent_ITK: If AVB signs the deal Levy has put forward he will be unveiled Mon or Tues. Martinez refused to speak to Levy. #THFC #Spurs #Football #Wigan
The fact you mentioned twitter is a ban from this forum.

Looking like AVB. Most bookmakers have closed their books and those few that are still taking bets have him at 1/4 or 1/5.

Looks like it but remember the bookies close their books over night often on this.

Whenever it's done, rest assured the market will be closed before any of us know about it, JJ apart of course!

The press have nothing to go on regarding our next manager. Not a sniff. So they have all had a good think about it and decided that AVB is our man.
They know we want a European style set up so they have decided that it must be AVB and it is logical to appoint him and everyone is coming out and agreeing.
However that isn't the case yet, as i said before , we will announce someone when we are ready which isn't now.
I'm not saying we will or we wont appoint him just that nothing has been finalised yet.
