Whether or not it's correct, the arrogance pouring from that post takes my breath away. We've created a monster.

Not really. Brownhead had been posting anti-Modric shite the entire window. The Modric transfer request lie IIRC is from him, which proved to be bullshite.

Yidio's ITK is interesting.

I happen to be a bit ITK on Harry's court case, he went to a firm of solicitors of a friend before settling for his current cheaper sols! The worked used was "fucked".

Now that IS interesting. Perhaps Levy isn't giving Harry his P45 just yet as he knows the High Court may give him a hand...

Yes I would because he is irreplacble as a talent. It's only really in the last 18months that he has started to fulfill his potential.

If we tried to replace him it would either be with an established world class player who we probably couldn't afford the wages of. Or it would be a young player with potential that we would have to wait 2 or 3 seasons before they blossomed.

You cannot replace Modrics craft and vision easily. Diarra and Adebayor are being earmarked to play in a settled team alongside Modric not instead of him.

Besides for the millionth time we simply cannot sell to Chelsea. We are closer to them now than ever before making them stronger would be the worse decision Levy ever makes and probably one of the last.

Spot on. How some people cannot see that is truly beyond me.

Talent is nothing without the proper application and it's clear that Modric's heart is not in it, he wants out.

If he plays to his best on Monday we'll soon see what the real story is I suppose.

I reckon that we would let Walker go on loan - if we can't shift Hutton then what use is three right backs?

For the record it's frustrating to me too as I can see that we're so close to the very very top, but as the tone of that article said, we haven't flexed any real muscle in the market to show ambition and we need to. I don't think Adebayor alone is the signing we desperately need, 2 or 3 new forwards are needed rather than one and we're still dragging our heels.

Luka must see how close we are so it's all about the money IMO, which saddens me, but I guess that's just the game now. Time will tell. I just hope he doesn't do a Berbatov.

I also don't think the Walker rumours sound right as they've just been bought out and I suspect they are waiting for things to be finalised before moving on deals. However, I can fully believe that Walker was at the club as - as someone mentioned - he has contacts and friends there.

Also, disconosebleed has frequently passed on really quite good ITK regarding QPR. He is someone to take seriously.

Probably not chat for in here...but it intrigues me...

a) Do you Mods work full time as well as monitoring this forum??
b)Surely doing this takes up a massive amount of your time?

(Apologies as you've inevitably been asked this before, and if there's a part of the forum where you guys talk about this then please direct me that way...ta)

a) We do. Well, apart from Stoof. It's not really full-time as the brothel only opens from 11pm-4am.
b) Feels like a lifetime. It's not all gloom though. We get a 0.001% commission on all donations as long as we hit our daily ban quota (14 spammers and 6 Modric mentioners).

Harrys success in getting us to the CL, plus his love in with the press, makes it very difficult for Levy to sack Redknapp at the moment, even if Levy is pissed off at Harrys comments in the press. Harrys court case going tits up though, would give Levy the perfect opportunity.

You've been at all of the training sesssions, have you?

No, but I've read enough and heard enough from Modric about it, we will only know for sure if and when he pulls on a shirt again in a competitive game.
