in fairness that is funny but few things

a - why cant we not afford 50 million when all itk and sundry saying their is massive money for big name

b -- they wont sell to us in million years but wud sell to chelsea.. hhmm whats ur thinking behind that?


c-- why would be not come to us??? with players we have to provide him upteen chances evry game?


i totally agree on wages issue which is deciding factor mind and thats shame and only shows we are for most part all talk and no trousers!

Carroll can't play till bloody April! No point. Wait till the summer when he I'd cheaper.

In the meantime, let's go and sign a striker who actually may score some goals!

Between signing nobody and signing Carroll, despite injury, the latter is surely better. I suspect Levy is in Desperate Dan mode right now.

I can see where you're coming from but in the current climate Chelsea are a much more attractive prospect than we are. We may be right behind them in th league but they are the current champions, CL regulars and offer big money.

We are a growing force but Torres will want to move somewhere he considers 'bigger' and regardless of our many stars we simply cannot provide that.

He would be more expensive in the summer with City and probably Liverpool in a bidding war, maybe even Utd

Our only chance of ever getting him is now

We have one of the most talented and skillful midfields in the league, what we need is a big beastly mofo to get on the end of Bale,VDV,Lennon's service.

Sod it, let's just get Elmander on the cheap say £3 million and offload Keane for £6 million to anyone that will pay it, anyone, please..........anyone????????????? 2 for 1 offer maybe??

Finally Matt C talks sense.

Carroll is at the bottom of my list, but with no other options, if we are to get him, which Harold seemsintent on, now would be the perfect time.
