LB: Bale Assou-Ekotto
RM: LennonBentley
DM: Sandro Huddlestone
CM: DIARRA Palacios
LM: Modric Kranjcar

CF: DZEKO Crouch

Sell:- Buy:-
Taarabt- 2mill K.SCHMEICHEL - FREE
Gio- 4mill M.RICHARDS 8 mill
Hutton- 5/6mill DIARRA 13mill
Keane- 8/9mill GUDJOHNSEN 1.5mill
Pav- 10/11mill DZEKO 20 mill
Jenas- 7/8mill
O'hara- 5mill

Whats the deal with Kasper? Is he out of contract? Anyway I would go to around 2m for him but would prefer to spend a bit more to get Ben Foster in.

I would expect Richards to cost less as City wouldnt expect him to be a World class player but then were a rival so probably up to the 8m.

Diarra wouldn't cost that much in my eyes and isn't an essential buy either. Madrid are reporting to look to spend around another 100m this season but want to generate alot from player sales. VDV and the 2 Diarra's could be sold to generate funds for Ribery in my eyes and either of these 3 would be good signings for us.

Gudjohnsen is a player I liked since his Chelsea days but I feel 1.5m should be the max we pay as he hasnt been a great impact for us. A good player yeah but nothing like what CL football could attract up front.

Dzeko says prem move could happen, Wolfsburg said they want to hold onto him and so came about the 40m Euro price tag (Around 34m)
I would pay up to 30m for him which I predict to be 3/4 of our transfer budget before player sales.

I expect to get a bit less for the likes of Keane, Pavlar and Jenas then mentioned but not alot.

I hope to also get in a backup LB. Figueroa or Kolarov maybe for around 5m.

If not those players to buy in their positions I would also say:
Foster, Handanovic
Richards, Jorgensen (Playing for Copenhagen)
Kolorov, Figueroa
VDV, M Diarra, L Diarra
Dzeko, Luis Fabiano, (Optimistic but Benzema is said to be getting sold by Real but likely to go to Utd or someone, Aguero may look to leave but Atletico don't want to sell like Dzeko)

Whatever happens its exciting times at WHL.

Dzeko for £22m. Dream on. You could add another £8m to that before they'd budge to tell us to bugger off .

7 points, That's a big ask! I'd be happy with 3-5 points from the sky4 away
I know it's a big ask but i think this is perhaps our biggest failing and to actually stay put up this end of the table we are going to have to put some inroads into our horrible away record against those 4, also how are we going to fair against Europes elite if we can't beat the best domestic teams away from home.

Out:
OHara
Woodgate
Bentley
Hutton
Cudicini
Keane
Gudjohnsen
Dos Santos
Taraabt

In:
Joe Lewis
Connor Wickman
Andre Gignac or Edin Dzeko
Ashley Young or James Milner

We have a big squad already, I dont see many new faces other than a cpl of tweeks. Net spend very low I would imagine. Personally I think we stretched ourself in a non euro year to keep so many fringe players that have big wages.

when i said right back, i meant a top class right back.

I'm not saying Corluka etc are dire/shit or anything, and in actual fact i'd like to see younes have a shot at making that his position, but if we can upgrade to a champions league quality right back, then i say we should jump at it.

striker is more important though, and perhaps a centre back to replace bassong IF king/woody are gonna be crocked and also only IF the new CB is of elite quality.

Bentley has played his part and is a very different option to Lennon as he showed last night. If he would like to stay I would like to keep him. For all his faults he has rolled his sleeves up home and away and put a shift in and added some quality when we've needed it.

Woody is another one, a fit woody is still one of the best CB's in the league and if he can get fit there is no way I would be looking to sell him unless he wanted to go.

Cuds is a good back up keeper with loads of experience, again, if he wanted to stay I would give hm another year, particlualry as we will be playing in europe.

The rest I would sell, although I would perhaps consider Gudy, but I feel he will want to get more game time and will go back to Monaco.

Whilst I agree A "world class" striker IS perhaps the 1st priority...our main strengthening should be in our mentality, and what we do when we are losing a game, what we do to turn that losing, into a draw / win.....Why because we are awful at it.

If we are losing at Half time, we have failed to win, only managed to draw once and lost the rest (7 times) (ranked 19th)

Losing at anytime during the game...We have only won once...and drawn twice (ranked 19th)...note if we had evertons stats in this ratio we would be level with man u

With the same squad, with a performance of, say, ranked 6th we would have 9 more points.

If we are winning at HT, we win...every single match....all 16 of them.....Perhaps if we started every game, all out and going for it, to win the 1st half, We may well be champions now!

In fact looking at the overall stats, for all teams...teams losing at half time pick up very few points...Cfc have the best ratio, with 5 times losing at HT..w2 D1 and fulham have the most points gained (they have alot of practice, and only have a better record than the 3 relegated) 15 times losing at HT 3W 2D.

What the stats really show, is the lack of points gained by team who are losing at HT....So surly We should really go for it in the 1st half...and be stronger mentally in the 2nd ( I mean if we are losing at HT, because we are GOD if we are winning at HT)

Thinking about this, and not just going for world class up grade in every position. But what we need most, and will help us take the next step….( I still believe my post no 136 Is the most important step we need to take)

There are 3 types of signing

A player to replace a current 1st team player.

A player as back up to / competition for.

Young potentials.

The third I will leave alone.

This is all MHO

Striker…We need a World class striker, the likes of Drogba, Van P, Van Nis (in his golden days) The striker who can lead the line, can create and score when services is lacking. All of our current strikers are not of that quality. Which means to me Pav is sold and a new 1st choice striker is In. ( I say Pav, as I think Crouch is a better bench alternative, to bring on.) ( also Sell Keane and I would be happy for Gud J to stay, again a good player to bring on when needed.)

The 4 in the middle most regularly played (of Bale, Kan, Hudd, Pacman, Modric, Lennon, Bentley)………You know the only one that needs upgrading is Lennons back up Bentley, who’s form, from a whole season point of view, has been poor( yes the last few he has been good.) But could we get any better than the “current” Bentley? Hard to answer. For the rest of the mid field, who are 2nd string back ups effectively, So whoever we sell, we replace. And we should sell Jenas, time for him to move on.

The back 4….Some Love BAE, Some Hate him, and some are sensible and know his strengths and weaknesses. We also have to take into account of where Harry see Bales, as an LB or LW, as his starting position…I suspect he will be viewed as LW, and back up to LB..If this is the case, we only need to sign a LB, If there is a better option than BAE. RB…Personally, I think Kaboul has shown he is at the least a good back up for Corluka, and I would argue competition for RB, with other waiting in the wing, I see no reason to worry about this position.

CB….Woodgate is the question mark here, If he fit to play 30 odd games, then We will have 3, at a minimum, Top CB, plus Bas, who is growing nicely. With The King permanent Question mark, I think We need a Good, solid professional as cover, (someone 31-32) If Woodgate isn’t coming back, then we need a TOP centre back as well.

Goal keeper.

Depends on Cuddie biker….If he regain full fitness, no problem, If not, obviously he need replacing.

So what are the Key signing to improving Spurs.

1 world class striker.
2. A back up Right winger.
3. Whoever we sell from the 2nd string back ups, replace with the potential to be better

And

4. Don’t sell our key players

Would anyone like to see Ballack join us if he leaves Chelsea? He's available on a free isn't he? He's experienced, a leader and scores goals from midfield. I'm not sure how good he is now as I haven't seen him play much this season.

Ballack isn't good enough... debatable if he ever was.

He is good for Germany, but was rarely considered good by Bayern fans and was at Chelsea for the pay cheque.

IMHO opinion a world class CM is what is needed more than a striker.

We have pretty decent Striker options, whereas I still feel our CM does no boss enough games.

Our strength is clearly down the flanks, so I have no issues there, but if you want to win the Premiership, you need that CM position controlling the game.

Of course if a World Class Striker became available, then sure... but if we had to pick one of the over, my vote would be CM.

This is what id like to see at the club over the summer, get rid of Keane, Bentley, Jenas, O’Hara, GDS, Hutton, & Pav, that would bring in around £50m plus then around £30m kitty we already have. Then Target Luis Suarez, Srna, Artem Milevskiy, Diakhate,Wijnaldum & Van der Vaart. With these changes we would go far in the league and in the CL.

Somebody mentioned being limited to a 25 man squad next season - is this going to happen then as I think I vaguely remember it coming up somewhere before?

Does that mean we have to name a squad numbered 1 - 25 of first team players that are going to be used?

That would mean problems for King's no.26? (obviously he likes this number of otherwise he would have 5 or 6 by now).

Sorry these kind of geeky things interests me!

Why are some of you asking for a right back??

Corluka, Kaboul, Walker and Naughton not enough??

Seconded.

I personally think BAE has a tendancy to go AWOL.... how about the converted left back N'Zogbia?

Erm hasn't N'Zogbia been converted to a RIGHT winger for Wigan this season...?
