Spanish clubs always go on and on about the release clauses for their players and always end up selling them for less.
The release clause only applies in Spain doesn’t it.

You’d like to think so with the Regi deal also there to be done. They sold a left back to Forest so they definitely need a replacementSurely theres an agreement to be found.
Maybe if he was 25. I like the player but 60 million for a 29 year old is not the way we do thingsIs he worth the release clause?
The release clauses don’t really matter at all. Every player that plays for a spanish team needs to have one. Their FA rules or something like that. The release clause only applies in Spain doesn’t it.
Personally don’t think so, but if the manager wants him, I’d be paying it immediately I’d I had the power to do so.Is he worth the release clause?
he's 28 btwMaybe if he was 25. I like the player but 60 million for a 29 year old is not the way we do things
Closer to 29...he's 28 btw
Alright, alright. Put your calculator back in your pencil casehe's 28 btw
you've well and truly cucked me there, this was my joke attempt. He’s 28 until he becomes 29. That’s how it works.
(YES - FINALLY GOT TO USE THAT WITH THE RIGHT AGES. COME ON)
Is it worth pointing out how many times Conte has taken wide players who had hardly ever(if ever) played full back and turned them into title winning wing backs?I mean depends if we trust Spence at RB I guess. As Carassco has hardly ever, if ever, played as a RWB (transfermarkt has him having played RM 3 times in his career, but not clear if that's as a wingback or in a 4-4-2 for example) and for what it's worth he almost exclusively plays from the left even in more forward positions.
I'm not that bothered by carassco tbh. He's not that good, has never truly cemented his place in that atletico team and is still a little inconsistent. I can take it or leave it. But also, he doesn't seem the right fit for us at all. Do we really need another left sided player?
Those are not statistics. Whoscored has Hojbjerg as our second best player this season for example. It is just some statisticians who assign arbitrary points to what a tackle is worth etc.Just to provide some statistics to that though, he was five times MotM last season for Atletico (joint top) with an average rating of 7.08 (top) according to WhoScored. So I would say he was at least a bit close.
You may be the Speaker but this is my house. POW.you've well and truly cucked me there, this was my joke attempt.

Maybe. I don't think anyone on here has done that in this forum this entire window. Is it worth pointing out how many times Conte has taken wide players who had hardly ever(if ever) played full back and turned them into title winning wing backs?
While true Carrasco is also a fullback that played as a LWB much of last season and a lot for the national team, I don't think its a 60 million euro investment. Particularly because the only positions he has ever been proven to play well are both positions we have a lot of cover for. Carrasco would have made sense as an alternative to Perisic, but with Perisic not sure it really makes sense. They play exactly the same positions.Worth remembering how many times Conte has taken wide players who had hardly ever(if ever) played full back and turned them into title winning wing backs?
For now.You may be the Speaker but this is my house. POW.
