It wouldn't be ok, but if he must go then it has to be to a foreign club.
Yeah, that would be making the best of a bad situation.
Anyone saying it'd be okay if he left is certifiable.

Ok, name a few of the same calibre that Spurs are able to getIf he left it wouldn't bother me... he can be replaced.
He lacks support with passes/creativity from our midfield. He's such a quality player that he shouldn't be used as a simple targetplayer with long balls from our keeper or CB'sI have to be honest, sometimes he doesn't link up that well and looks very sloppy, other days he is blinding. Sometimes these things work out, see Cantona and United circa 1999
It's the same as asking " Is it ok if I have a go on your Sister?"
Of course it f**cking isn't, I'm not done yet........ but cash helps a little
Really!
Firstly villa alone will cost a similar amount of money to Berbatov, a little less maybe but certainly not much so how would the Berba money then fund the other players that you were on about?
Secondly Villa is about the same size as Defoe and as we all know Defoe & keane couldn't really play together as they couldn't hold the ball up well enough and didn't offer enough physical presence. Villa & keane wouldn't be a natural partnership.
If we were to sugn Villa it would be to play with Berba & not to replace him.
But its intersting from your comment that you believe we will only need an ok striker to replace a world class one.
Secondly the fact that i'd class David Villa as slightly more than 'ok'.
If he goes, make sure it's not a prem club and that we get as much as is possible for him.
I think it depends on our transfer plans for the summer, if we get some very decent signings in, maybe he'll really want to stay to see where it all ends up.
