It wouldn't be ok, but if he must go then it has to be to a foreign club.

Yeah, that would be making the best of a bad situation.

Anyone saying it'd be okay if he left is certifiable.

If he wants to leave there isn't much we can do about it. But if we just sell him because of 30 million or so, I will be pissed off. He definitely is what we need!! And I think we will have much better midfield next season and then Berba will be even better!!

Please Berbs, don't go!!!

EDIT: Oh, and IF we have to sell him, we shouldn't sell him to another Prem team!

If we're able too keep him we must get some quality CM's so our strikers doesn't have to assist each other.

It's so awkward to see our class players have to settle with our mediocre AM. Huddlestone might get there when pickin up pace....but some are lost cases.

I have to be honest, sometimes he doesn't link up that well and looks very sloppy, other days he is blinding. Sometimes these things work out, see Cantona and United circa 1999

If he left it wouldn't bother me... he can be replaced.
Ok, name a few of the same calibre that Spurs are able to get

He lacks support with passes/creativity from our midfield. He's such a quality player that he shouldn't be used as a simple targetplayer with long balls from our keeper or CB's

The spurs midfield is shocking, zokara and huddlestone looked a better combination than JJ and zakoro, can someone do a picture of zokora as Zoro, i think it would look quite cool

there are times when i am screaming at him to do more or to try a leg but as written by other people here and in the media he is without doubt our most talented player but like any person with that much ability he knows it.
our players and team are not playing as well as they were last season & that has really affected him. if we had more players like keane who are on the same wavelength as him then we would get even more out of him so with ramos undoutbedly bringing in better players during the summer then i think if he stays for next season we will see just how good he can be for us!

Really!

Firstly villa alone will cost a similar amount of money to Berbatov, a little less maybe but certainly not much so how would the Berba money then fund the other players that you were on about?

Secondly Villa is about the same size as Defoe and as we all know Defoe & keane couldn't really play together as they couldn't hold the ball up well enough and didn't offer enough physical presence. Villa & keane wouldn't be a natural partnership.

If we were to sugn Villa it would be to play with Berba & not to replace him.

But its intersting from your comment that you believe we will only need an ok striker to replace a world class one.

Secondly the fact that i'd class David Villa as slightly more than 'ok'.

If he goes, make sure it's not a prem club and that we get as much as is possible for him.

I think it depends on our transfer plans for the summer, if we get some very decent signings in, maybe he'll really want to stay to see where it all ends up.

All the noises coming from Berba lead me to the conclusion that he will give Ramos a full season to prove himself......

I convinced myself of that at Wembley......

No it wouldn't be good. But unfortunately players have the power now. If he wants a move we have to give it to him. No point talking of potential replacements because an established player of his calibre would laugh at us for trying. If he does want to go we need to find a diamond in the rough.

Was going to start a thread on this but decided it wasn't worth it cause it sounds like lazy journalism but the latest is he's been linked with AC Milan, for €25m. There are two things wrong with this article, they say he'll be moving to get Champions League football, which Milan are not guaranteed to get, and 2nd, €25m? £15m or so? They'd have to double that and I'm not sure Milan or any of the Italian clubs for that matter have that kinda cash, the state Serie A is in at the minute. Kaka + £15m and we might do business, lol.

I completely agree with you, Villa is quality.

Berbs & Villa = As good a front pair as any anywhere.

selling him to another premiership club would be stupid!

But what other teams abroard would he go to? His style suits Barcelona!

I still hoever think he will stay with us! If he joined Man Utd, He would be a squad rotational player, we all know what he thinks of that kind of situation!!

Well, it would mean an end to the weekly 'Will Berbatov Stay/Go?' threads. That's some sort of plus. And we'd hear no more from Berbati, which is another.

Im no different to anyone else in my admiration for Dimitar Berbatov. The bloke can be real quality, whenever they show clips of him before the games on the jumbotrons,i always think the away fans must be thinking "bloody hell,we could do without him today".
However think its short sighted to say we would definetly be much worse off without him.
