Isn't pubalgia the injury Skipp had which has been resolved by surgery?
Not sure, could be but can't find detailed information about it. Transfermarkt has it as an inflammation of the pubic bone which had him out for months.

I think I’d go for Jota on loan with an option and then go for Johan Bakayoko for RW.

Move Deki inside to midfield permanently and just use him wide for certain matches.

On Bakayoko, he is still young (only 20) and has a lot of developing to do but he is good 1v1 and his left foot is a wand. He does go outside too but could work on being even more 2 way. He is more 2 way than anyone we’ve got though and he’s more dangerous imo.

He has also played in the CL for PSV this season so he’s had good experience of high level football (rather than just Eredivisie). He was also good in the Europa league for them last season too.

I think he has the raw tools to develop really well under Ange.

Some footage here for those who haven’t watched him:

either him or soule would be great. i really like soule...

Usually, this thread would have been locked by now but we've left it open because so far people have been sensible with what links they post.

But, BUT BUUUUUUUT...........It's creeping back in again, so one more time, this bollocks phrase "according to Twitter', vague hints at links from random spunkbubbles, links from shithouse pretenders and all that stuff, has no place in here. You know this. So come on, meet us halfway (y)

Having a look at our squad and I think for this season we’re fine for keepers, wing backs and with the recent performances in the centre by Kulu and Lo Celso means we’re fine in that position for this season too.

A very high quality inside forward or striker would be great but unlikely so I think we’re good there too.

Davies and Royal have done their best covering at centre back but we definitely need quality there.

Sarr, Bissouma and Bentancur are great in centre mid. Skipp and Hojbjerg fall short though.

If we can find and attract genuine top quality in any position, great, but it’s centre back and centre mid that has to be the priority.

Pedants corner but this has been the 'scouting' thread and as such felt rules have been lax in terms of posting aggregators, Twitter/X links etc but has encouraged healthy discussion and informed opinions.

Don't worry boss, we know the rules when we kick off proper in January and post in the appropriate threads or face your wrath with the ban stick shoved where the sun don't shine!

I don't think he's talking so much about the links but more the posts that are like "according to twitter.." or "i saw on twitter" rather then actually posting the link. Obviously that also goes for posting tweets by accounts such as @imreallyitkjustaskyourmum or @legititksuperagenttekkers, of course they could well know something but i'd err on the side of caution.

“The FFP problem is why they’ve taken to selling many of the club’s academy graduates - Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek to name three - because it counts as pure profit on the balance sheet.

It’s why Chelsea are refusing to internally rule out the prospect of selling Conor Gallagher, who Pochettino rates, amid ongoing uncertainty over his contractual situation.

Tottenham are keen on Gallagher as a No 8 if Chelsea decide to sell.”

Looks like they're still willing to sell him, which is very surprising IMO.

FFP must be really screwing them (which is great to see).

Would be a smart signing imo. Much more suited to what we play like than Højbjerg, and with Sarr and Bissouma going to afcon we need reinforcements there.

Plus home grown, replace squad players with someone better (to the system we will be playing) while also addressing our HG quota also. And if lucky both move for similar values.

Agree, a midfield selection of Maddison, Kulu, Bentancur, Sarr, Biss, Gio and Gallagher with Donley coming through would be very strong. There is obviously the Skipp question also. Although I guess it will be the same situation as summer tho IE we wont go for Gallagher if we can't shift PEH.

Gallagher seems like a complete waste of time tbh. Doubt Chelsea would sell, but would happily string us along all window.

I think the one thing that Chelsea fans pick up on is the lack of pressing in their team without him.

He could really suit our midfield with it's high energy requirements.

Gallagher? Don't look at his performances for those scroats, look at his record at Palace who obviously used him in a role to which he's more suited. At any rate, they got a lot more out of him so there's a player in there I reckon. He could thrive under Angelos. Then again he might not :D

That's not very impressive when you watch them play.
Like being the most attractive turd in a bucket of turds! 🤣
Eh well Maddison came from a relegated Leicester

if a player is performing for any club they should be looked at
