some sad breaking news this morning (well heard it last night)

my son is doing an Apprentership at a nursery centre, one of the parents is our once successful and much loved David Bentley:rolleyes:

he dropped off his child yesterday morning, and my son had to pick him up on the kids clothing.

he was warring a fucking Liverpool shirt:eek:

some people are not fit to be parents:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Maybe it was a punishment?

Maybe it was a punishment?

only if it's the kid punishing his dad:ROFLMAO:

he told my son that's who he likes, so won't change him (RSPCC number needed), he then asked my boy who he supports, and he answered "Spurs of course", which Bentley replied with a provisional invite to his private box he has at Tottenham. I presume he has purchased 1 at the NWHL.

I've told my son to make sure the invite includes me lol, especially as I let the fucker off some dosh on a taxi fare sometime back as I thought it would be better to change the rate down, because 1, I didn't recognise him at the time, and 2, he looked so rough I thought I'd get knocked:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

From Saintswebs "Defectors watch" thread:

On Lallana getting a red vs. our U23s:

"Jesus christ, he looks like such an idiot these days. Give it 12 months and I can see him on loan at a Stoke or WHU. "

"It was bizarre and pathetic.
The victims will defend him of course. But if he did that playing for my club I would be pretty unimpressed, and would hope he'd be nowhere near the first team for a few weeks more. "

"Why does he look like Jimmy Bullard now? "

"WTF?! It wasn't even a challenge worth getting upset about, barely even a foul. Bizzare. "

On the Anfield spectacle:

"

That was hilarious. Lovren messed up for the missed penalty then VVD kicks someone in the butt for the second.

Fair play to the lino. Very brave but correct decision. "

"Wanyama is unreal btw. He is such a loss to us (I always argued he’d be a bigger loss than Morgan).

He got a lot of stick for his passing, which is no way as bad as many made out. Just imagine him and Lemina together "

"Defensive midfield specialist.

Arsenal & Liverpool would be so much better with him in their sides. "

"I posted Stewart Robsons criticism of VvD on here and got shouted down by some. But he showed today exactly what Robson claimed. He didn’t win the header against Llorente & then was oblivious to the danger from the resulting flick on. As Robson said at the top top level you’ll be punished."

"Nice one Virgil. Couldn't have happened to nicer chap. "

*Ricky Gervais laughing.gif *

"Both were penalties and correct decisions by the laws of the game.

The fact that our two former mercenary centre backs were both at fault is even more satisfying.

Throw in a Wanyama screamer and it’s a LOL fest. "

"VVD has really sorted out their defensive problems. What's that - 1 assist for the Swansea winner and 3 more let in today?
Solid signing. "

"Beautiful end to the game. What a massive c*** Klopp is. "

"Been a long time since I’ve been hoping for Spurs to score. What a beautiful end to that game! "

It’s amazing when he’s actually gained the information to make his racist and ignorant conspiracy theory from the Wikipedia page of Jon moss who was in culture club. Not the referee.

Absolute cretin.
Indeed. Both an idiot and a parishioner of 'The Church of the Poison Mind'...

I would say Spurs are a big club if honest.

Certainly going in right direction with team and new stadium also.

Yeah they haven't won anything for long time but we have 1 league cup win in last 12 years??

Spurs have exactly same pulling power as us at moment imo

He's bang on. For years, kids had grown up watching Liverpool playing in the latter rounds of the European Cup, winning titles etc. so naturally when they became players, Liverpool were still a big attraction even if they'd had a couple of yhears without winning. Nowadays, the latest generation of kids have grown up in an era where Liverpool have had almost no glory whatsoever, so they don't have that "glamerous" feel about them any more and that's only going to get worse as it continues. If a player goes to them over us nowadays it's about wages rather than prestige IMO.

You would think that wouldnt you, but I firmly believe a player would only sign for them if its explained now that car stereos are now built into new cars so they cant really be stolen.

Scousers in anti semitic shocker:rolleyes:
Surprised Salah hasnt peddled it yet tbh. He’s a fucking **** like the rest of them.
Some of their fans are absolute pricks but I don't get why Salah gets a special mention. He did nothing wrong and if it's because he's Egyptian and the subject is anti-semitism then you're only lowering yourself to their level.

He refused to shake hands with a club twice solely because of where it is located.

Lie. Not solely at all. It is well-established that he was under huge pressure from his own countrymen not to shake hands.

Reports of threats of violence towards him and his family if he did.

Just accept that you don't know the true details of what happened and vilifying someone when you don't know the full facts is in extremely poor taste.

Politics should stay out of football. Players should respect sportsmanship. Salah also apparently made remarks after one of those matches that could be skewed as anti semitic. But that doesnt matter to me whether he is or he isnt. Maybe my remark was in poor taste but he does come across as a bit of a twat. Which, to be fair, fits the clubs he's played for in England perfectly.

So a footballer getting threats of violence should put his family at risk because politics has no place in sport?

What fucked up logic.

Where was it established that he or his family received threats? All the articles about it make no mention of there being any threats

To this day I have no idea why it is that people in this country are so quick to deny or excuse anti-semitism.

If a white, Russian footballer refused to shake hands with black players because of pressure from Russians or threats to his family you wouldn't deem it to be acceptable would you?

To my mind this is because Anti-semitism is and has always been considered to acceptable in Western Europe and the UK in particular.

Please stop normalising it.

Maybe it's because Israel is a country rather than a race?

The reason salah didn't shake their hands is because of the actions of the Israeli govt not because the players are jewish.

You can be anti-Israel without being Anti-semetic
