Saw this quote on a Burnley forum

Moves to so called "bigger" clubs have not worked out too well for Ings, Trippier and Rodriguez.

What do yall think? Has Trippier's time here not been successful? I think he is an important member of the squad and has been a good player for us.

One poster responded:
I believe that Keane will go where he is a regular starter but Trippier knew he would play second fiddle to Walker and took his chance and a big pay rise

Burnley fans on the match

Looks like Harry will be missing. We just need Alli and Eriksen to drop out now and we might have a chance.

We stopped Hazard & Costa... those two will be easier

Just wind ali up...hes easy.

149 single seats lefts. Should be a great game and Spurs haven't got the best record at Turf Moor in recent years.

Prediction home win

Hope you're right, I'd take a point now.

We will win it's going to be a 9 point week.Win v Spuds v Stoke v Boro .

back to back to back wins!

we don't often do that!

Think it will be hard, but we will win. We have been pretty formidable since our switch to 3-4-3. Draws against WBA, Leicester, Bournemouth and Sunderland are the difference between ourselves and Chelsea.

Chelsea have drawn there and City and Arsenal have won. I'd be incredibly disappointed if we don't get at least a draw.

We need to stop dropping points away against these types of teams.

Agreed, but I fall short at laughing at their hope of getting a win.

Could see another 2-1 win for us maybe

Arsenal only won because Koscielny punched the ball in the net from an offside position in the last minute.

I think Trippier is good & yes as a back up but might be 1st choice if, and only if, a big name comes in and tempts away Walker (I hope not!)

WTF does he mean by "so called bigger clubs"??

That poster in particular seems to be extremely proud of Burnley FC and a lot of other posters on there. It was part of a bigger discussion about players leaving Burnley to achieve more or get paid more vs. staying and getting the club higher (some fans I read think Burnley should be targeting top 6 next year)
