Come on let's not go overboard. We lost. The law of averages meant that 13 wins was nigh on impossible. Yes I'm gutted we came up short, but perspective. 2nd. More points than ever.

Kick the cat. Know that we are perennially nearly there. Poxy spurs ! Poxy beloved spurs.

It was an absolutely brilliant season.

Let us pray we never see Wanyama and Dier together in CM again.

I see people are having a go at Eriksen. When they should be having a go at Poch for the tactical setup. I referenced last year's WHU in a tactical post after the 1st game of the season. Putting their 5 in midfield closed any space Eriksen had to play in and Poch didn't react. Today was never the game for Dier and Wanyama in the CM2. Not creative enough and not comfortable receiving the ball under pressure.

An being forced to send Walker all the way up the pitch to provide width exposed us all night long. Poch had a really piss poor game today. Firstly to not have learned the lesson from last year. Secondly to not have had that lesson reinforced after the first half. And still then to not go 3ATB when bringing on Dembele.

For the very little joy Walker got down the right it did not justify getting hammered in the space he left. I will say it again Bilic has been doing a job on Poch since Besiktas. And the goals have more oftern than not come from Walker's side.

And for our players not to have been geed up for this game is crazy. If i remember right we had the chance to go top at WHU last year but then lost and drew with Arse. That was when we actually lost the title last year.

C'est la vie. We'd of just had the pain prolonged anyway when chelsea kept winning. Just a shame that useless mob had to do it to us.

Defend the Lane now. Want it's last season to be unbeaten.

doesnt take a genius to tell why we will finish second (hopefully) and chelsea first. They have better players to bring on when things are going badly. Our bench is incredibly weak. Until we splash the cash on at least a couple of quality players we are always going to fall short.

I still don't get it. Why do we go into this so confident? Why do I get laughed down? It's bizarre.

Yeah I know. Spurs fans always seem to think we'll turn them over easily, but away from home no matter how bad they are it's always a battle to the death.

We've beaten them plenty of times at their place, but it's almost always a very tight game.

Plus their current team is extremely physical. This and the Leicester were always the ones I was worried about.

Is it more or do we struggle on bigger pitches and crowds ...?

Wembley , old Trafford , st James park , emirates . I'm sure there's more

I'm not sure, but today's performance reminded of our CL Wembley ones, again, not very assuring.

9 wins in a row.wasnt going to last forever.disappointing as i didnt see that coming.lads didnt play with the confidence youd expect of a team that had won 9 games.looked like the side at anfield.

This is going to sound ridiculous but we struggled to get to grips with the dimensions of their pitch tonight. It's almost like the players expected there to be more space given the vast open spaces. Not blaming that at all on the defeat but it did strike me somewhat as I can imagine it freaking players out.

Difference between bottling something and not playing well. Bottling is another fucking media narritive. Load of old bollocks that idiots hear once and repeat and repeat and repeat ... Bottling something from behind ... Must have missed when we were in front.

Would we not say the same if Arsenal or Chelsea lost in the same way? We are a really good side and we let ourselves down today.

Small time club just care about winning two games a season

To be honest I'd be embarrassed to be a wet spam fan, if their team put as much effort into the other 36 games a season they would at least finish in the top 10 most seasons instead of being in the bottom half the majority of their time they have been in the premier league

I always felt this may have been our best chance of the title because for sure Chelsea, city and Utd will throw money at it and strengthen right up, and with us at Wembley it could be out of the top four next year.
Again very gutting losing to a hated rival albeit a small time one like the semi-final recently, they did a number on us and we couldn't respond.
Poch and the team will be gutted that again we cannot deliver silverware when on offer.

We are a good side and that's pretty much all that matters. One result does not make a season.
