THe fact that they hate us sooooo much just makes us spanking them 4-0 more sweeet, knowing that the game meant so much to them (be honest it is bascially just another game to us) that game yesterday is their equilvant to Arsenal beating us 5-1 .. . oh wait a min

Not quite, but I was a fit young lad and could run really fucking fast. I was also quite inventive when it came to hiding. And VERY brave when the proper hard bastards were leading the charge.

Let me tell you about the time, Liverpool at home, early doors, these 200 scouse tossers start walking round from the Paxton like they're going to take the Park Lane, and there was a surge like from the gates of hell and we ran those fuckers all the way back to fucking Penny Lane etc etc etc (drones on until he falls asleep and starts drooling).

So yes, to LadieK and those who've pointed out the Essex/geographical roots of the issue - it was a lot to do with rival sets of firms teaming up against each other because they knew where to find each other on match days. And if your team playing away, you'd just go along for the ruck.

My mate's a West Ham fan and he rekons it's got something to do with West Ham getting relegated in the 70's or 80's and a load of their so called supporters started following us as we were still in the First division! So the supporters who carried on following WH, started to hate us!

They've a small club mentality, there real rivals are Millwall, but they've got delusions of grandeur.

Think of 2 brothers, the younger is short, fat and ugly with a severe case of acne, can't get layed and has a shit job. Wet spam.

Then the older brother is tall, good looking, and is a shag magnet with a successful career. The mighty Spurs.

the spammers i know give their different reasons of hatered towards us. one being mainly because we're the so called "Snobs" of London, who think we're better than those "working class" fans from teams south of the water!!! it's as if WHL is full to the rafters with jewish diamond dealers and Upton park is full of Salt of the earth cockney dock workers. the other reason i get is that that our "firm" fights dirty which is the only reason they've been turned over more times than they care to admit. and they wonder why they have a reputation to being caveman like pikey morons?!

yep the famous 'West Ham' academy - unfortunately the last 2 times they've played us it seems it was more like the school for thuggery and lump kicking that their players seemed to have attended

hammers weren't like this in the 60s - indeed there was no real bitterness that I recall between us in the 60s, rivalry yes of course - I actually stood on the terraces with some west ham and spurs friends in the 2-2 classic in the mud at Upton Park around about 68

and bobby moore and greavesie once famously did a bit of a dance together on the pitch - happy days long gone

West Ham, rivals? That is not even funny.

The only time i went to Upton park we were having a beer after the game and all,their fans cleared off before Millwall's fans returnied from losing (to Luton I think it was).

Imagine ghaving to clear out of your own pub at 6.30pm because Millwall lost.

Bunch of jessies.

But that's who their rivals are - Millwall.

The fact is Spam are more or less a yo-yo side - in and out of the prem like a rabbit's tadger.

And I sincerely hope a few of them are reading this thread. In fact I sincerely hope a few of them CAN read.

Gooners see Spurs as their main rivals as is typified by tv pundits who are ex gooners. Merson and Nicholas for example always refer to us as Arsenals main rivals.
