Where were you sitting Tottenham Boy? Rather than neging me why don’t you come up with some ideas on how we can make our stadium rock?
Block 113, 2 seats from the segregation to the palace fans.

So I know exactly what happened.

As for us we can’t, it’s our fan base. Wembley was quiet so was WHL for long periods.

Last night was far better than I’ve seen for about a decade.

Unless we have a organisation who actively look to improve by talking with the club about bringing drums etc going then it will be like this.

I do find this air of superiority of some of our fans quite amusing. I'm sure everyone complaining sing their hearts out for 90 minutes when they go to games, or indeed yesterday.

The most annoying thing is when a song is being started and you start singing it in the hope of spreading it to where you are sitting, and instead you just get middle aged couples turning around staring at you like ‘who invited the maniac?’

Women turning around smiling and laughing, fuck off and get up and sing.

I was singing my heart out from the comfort of my dining room as I treated myself to fish, chips and a cup of tea (decaf of course, I’m not a lunatic).

Come on you Tottenham Spurs
You’re better than CP
Please win this football game
I’ll be chuffed to bits

We get it, you don’t sing. But the atmosphere needs to improve.
No, I do sing. I just find it funny that so many people seem to act like they sing for the full 90 minutes without catching a breath and anyone else who doesn't do the same is a shit fan.

My last season at the old Lane was in the Park Lane. I’ve now moved back to the Paxton Lower and probably sang more last night than I would expect to as I was desperate to get the full effect of the new acoustics. But as hard as I tried it’s impossible unless the majority join in. Some people never will, just as some people who would love to sing never get a ticket. We just have to make sure that we’re all giving what we can because if you just want to go and watch good football you need to realise it could be better viewing if you participated.

More women at football, more children, too expensive to afford for most people who would likely go apeshit, match packages, wine and fucking cheese etc.

Football used to be for the working class, now most couldn't afford it. Now it's morphing more into a family day out, for the more fortunate classes.

How much was the cheapest ST?

We've plenty of songs. As to why they don't get sung, maybe they've been forgotten by the younger 'chant' starters, I dunno really :D
Could we maybe have a Spurs Chant sticky thread at the top of the Spurs page, A&C? And then we could put in the (clean) songs with maybe some examples of them being sung? One or two of us could curate, maybe? Might help those who don't know the songs if they could hear them being sung in a quieter less echoey environment...?

I know it would have helped me on a number of songs, cause my hearing isn't that great. It took me ages to learn the middle parts of 'Dele Alli' and 'Being a Yid', for instance.

With that wall, we need an organised faction of supporters like there is in European grounds to get songs going. Sometimes its about getting a song started by enough people and the rest follow suit.
Wasn't there a small group of people who clubbed together and made sure they were all sat together and spent the whole 90 singing? Club 1882 or something...?

To be honest, the thing which pissed me off about the game, which I may or may not start a thread on, were people in the South Upper (no idea if it happened elsewhere in the stand, or in other stands) who demanded in the 2nd half that people sit down, and then got the stewards to say the same. Thought the Home end was meant to be intimidating for fucks sake.

I think people thought the atmosphere was built into the ground. The ground is an instrument. And instrument generally don’t make noise unless someone plays them. I’d like to hear the drum back. It did actually work back in the day. And an endless drone would be better than endless silence but the middle ground is that we sing. I think it was nerves last night. But we’re Spurs fans, we’re always nervous until we’re at least 4 goals ahead. That needs to stop being an excuse anymore. Every game should be treated like an away game now. Away fans are the best because they’ve built their day around a match, travelling, eating, drinking, supporting, singing. We have a venue which allows each game to be an occasion. I don’t know about you but I want to see what we can achieve in this stadium with regards to atmosphere and I don’t want to wait until we play Arsenal to do it. Last night wasn’t good enough from the fans. First night stage fright? Fine, don’t let it happen again.
Even then.

We need more songs about Arsenal and Campbell. Preferably ones that include a smattering of homophobia, and just a subtle hint of racism.

COYS
Campbell is ancient history.
Hopefully we get a brand new traitor this summer for the new generation of fans.
That should liven things up.

Eriksen's song is nearly as bad as the one we had for Modric. Should give him the Give It Up/VDV song. It's a fun and easy song to sing.
It wouldn't scan for Eriksen. His surname works, but his first name has too many syllables. Unless we change it to something like 'Chrissie'.

Lalalalalalalalalalalalala, Chrissie Eriksen, Eriksen, Chriiiisie Eriksen.

You're right tbf. Just look at the state of the Emirates. We're heading in that direction now with the new pricing structure.
