So Old Trafford is never silent?
The Stretford End? Rarely, in my experience.
And in any case their songs are still massively better than ours.

You forgot the threat of physical violence as well.We need more songs about Arsenal and Campbell. Preferably ones that include a smattering of homophobia, and just a subtle hint of racism.
COYS
There songs are the same as most other teams
For instance the “ole at the wheel” song loads of lower league teams have their versions and it’s been around for years
So we could easily look at lower league are use songs they use for us
Well they are I even gave you a example off there most recent “new” song ( was Mourinho first ).No they're not.
I say this as someone who lives in Trafford, has many friends and family with United season tickets and so spends a considerable amount of time at the ground.
You forgot the threat of physical violence as well.
Also in the 80s you’d getBack in the early 1980's you'd get
Knees up mother brown
It's a grand old team to play for
We'll take more care of you, Archibald, Archibald
Burkinshaw's Blue & White army
Ossie's going to Wembley
He's only a poor little yiddo
Tiptoe through the paxton
what do you want to make those eyes at me for
We will follow the Tottenham
In your *insert team here, usually Liverpool* slums
Plus the usuals, come on you spurs, when the Spurs go marching on etc etc
I've certainly forgotten a few too. There were loads.
Plus there are a few that aren't PC any more such as the runway song and the Charlie Nicholas song.
Also in the 80s you’d get
Celebrity paedos touching you up
Aids
Mullets
You gotta move on man!
I’m sure that would sound classier in the original Latin.To. Vuvuzella is to get kicked in the cock
Spot on mate. Most football songs are generic.
Spurs go marching in? = Saints go marching in
Glory glory Tottenham Hotspur/Hallelujah/Man United
We've got Dele/Payet/N.E.One
There's very little originality out there.
People aren't going to sing for 90 minutes non stop. They're often in groups of people who will talk to each other, eat food, drink drinks, actually watch the game.
That did not happen.
I was right next to palace fans and they didn’t sing constantly but the drummer did keep droning on.Absolute rubbish. They sang non stop and were still going at the end when most of our support was running for the trains. I am in the North stand and unfortunately surrounded by those who are happy to sit and watch and kids. It is difficult to put sing the away support when you are sitting and only one in ten are trying to sing back at them. The whole idea of the South stand is that they are our core singers who must lead. They sound great for one song and then stop. All the palace songs merged into the next one. Considering their number they created a lot of noise. We have a lot to learn and as pointed out we need to discuss with the club how they can assist in this. Also big flags and banners would be a big plus. On a side issue did anybody else see the smoke coming from the left hand side of the North stand at the end ? Was it a flare?
You mean something actually interrupts their yakking on their phones, taking selfies, visiting social media sites, etc? Most football songs are generic.

I guess this is a symptom of us 'not having enough songs' but if you think about it, singing consistently for 90 minutes is actually very difficult to achieve and pretty unrealistic.
Palace did it and so do a lot of other teams.
