We're a football team not a 90s WWE (or WWF back then I suppose) wrestler so it's a no from me. Having bloody Star Wars music is already pretty naff but ACDC would take the naffery to a whole new level.

It's just intro music to get the crowd going, it lasts for 60 seconds at most. Each to their own though.

For intro music in the new stadium, I'd choose "Move On Up" by Curtis Mayfield. Has energy, soul and a message, and it's iconic and recognizable. The iconic chorus could be used for new songs, or weaved into some of our current chants.

I hear a lot of our fans asking for new chants. I think we desperately need some. The constant oh when the spurs every five mins is boring now. This new stand (wall) we have has the potential to be the greatest in Europe. Having visited Dortmund’s I have to say ours needs to model that atmosphere wise. For instance a song like this but replace with Tottenham Hotspur and the whole stand bouncing. Would look amazing.

It's clever how they all bounce while they're sitting down.

Yes and no. I wish we would keep up the atmosphere all game every game rather than having quiet/anxious period of silence, however I also think it's much better when the atmosphere gets going naturally and in a way that's actually related to the game rather than the German/italian/Ultras style of just doing all there choreographed songs all game that have nothing to do with what's happening on the pitch. You say oh when the spurs is boring but it's equally boring having a generic ultras drone all game regardless of what's actually happening on the field. It looks cool when you see a 2 minute clip of it but when you've been to a full game you see how repetitive and generic it really is. Once youve been to 2 or 3 German games you quickly realise that it's all a bit naff as well because the chants are identical at every club too

Also as a side note, that chant is the most generic chant in Germany. Been to loads of games across Germany from all different levels from 1. Bundesliga down to the old regional leagues and I can safely say that every team has that exact chant (but obviously substituting their own name in rather than Bayern).

Fair play to the fans of Borussia Monchengladbach if that's the case.

Cheers for the reply. I see palace also done the chant away at arsenal. Planning on visiting a German game next year. What’s Herthas ground like ? Good atmosphere ?

Hertha atmosphere is a bit shit to be honest, not necessarily cos of the fans but the stadium. As far as Olympic stadiums go the one in Berlin is pretty iconic, but the fact remains it's still got the athletics track and all that so that limits how much atmosphere you can really generate.

If you're in Berlin and want a German football experience I'd suggest going to an Union Berlin game instead. Last time I went they didn't have a roof even but theyve built up the stadium properly now by all accounts. Its more of a traditional square to the pitch type gground with terraces and the like. In the middle of like a woods as well so the walk back to the ubahn is entertaining with all the half cut blokes stumbling around in the dark. Probably half as many fans as at a Hertha game (maybe even less) but twice the atmosphere IMO. Always better to have a packed out small proper sadium than a half empty massive Olympic arena IMO

You’ve missed the gag, bro.

Syllables innit.

Ah shit sorry. My bad.

Well to be fair, it kind of proves my poi t cos their fans do do it as well, they just sing sha la la la la la la...Bo-rus-i-aaaa.

Exhibit A(from about 15 seconds in):

Like I say, it's pretty much every team I. Germany so ha the same 2 or 3 song all game every game

Good shout. Perhaps we can have The Cure pictures of you as the teams come out for second half.

I don't know what they were singing but I remember the PSV fans had an excellent chant when they came to Wembley and were really rocking

Wait until next season....
"We've got Messi... we've got Messi, I don't quite think you understand...etc'
(y) (well a guy can dream)

We'll definitely need new songs to welcome our new signings....that's for sure.
