Yesterday I realised just how awful we’ve become on the songs front.

Literally sang about 3 songs over and over ?

Same old songs, we really need some better ones.

And why no surfing flag in the south stand?

Great south stand, but we haven't really made it intimidating yet, not like i imagined.

So having finally got to the stadium for the Brighton game, I've reached two conclusions. 1) we need new songs. 2) The Market Place before the match is the place to make it happen.
New songs take some organising, they're not just going to appear out of thin air, especially since everyone's in a new stadium in new seats etc. But getting together an hour before the match and rehearsing a few verses will work wonders for getting new songs off the ground. And clearly The Market Place is a great place to do it.
Thanks to @davidmatzdorf I've got a ticket for Saturday, so if anyone wants to get together with us before the game and get everyone singing along to "Tottenham from the Lane" and other possible newbies, I'm all up for it.

And with the moving of the away fans hasn't helped either the banter between just isn't there anymore like when the Brighton fans started singing just like the Emirates! Would have been brilliant to have been able to sing something back to them but alas I was in the paxton/west it's just not gonna happen which is a shame! Maybe it will improve in the future? Hope so!

A song for Saturday to the tune of I love Rock N Roll...

I love V A R,
We beat City in the quarter finals

Fuckin brilliant - if this doesn’t catch on there is no Football God!

I love V A R,
We beat City in the quarter finals
I love VAR
And VAR loves me

I dunno apart from the effort of @nailsy these songs suck.

I vote we change the title of this post to ‘We Need Better Wags’ and have lots of pictures...of the better wags ?

And not only new and better songs but different tunes...

One thing about Manure and liverscum is that they come out with different tunes

I'm shit at song creation but I'm sure someone is better and best placed. Sheesh

I mean it's a great effort on the lyrics but do we really have to just copy every single song?

We've got some crackers in our back catalogue but alas no-one knows the words.

It's a grand old team to play for was probably my favourite and was still being sung in the 80s. Only Celtic and Everton used to sing it apart from us., I think.

How do songs start? must be in the pubs

Away matches mainly, followed by half time getting the drinks in!

At half time, home or away, If 5 or 10 of you stood by the bar and kept singing the Hibs song on the previous page several times over, I guarantee it will end up being sung by a thousand people before the end of half time. That tune is catchy and easy to remember because it’s a famous tune. It might take a bit longer to come out on to the terraces but it all starts inside.
