In the same way that you only buy a house once you know you've got mortgage approval. You don't say "yeah I'll pay XXX" and then go to the bank and ask for that do you? No. You don't.

You'd be fucking surprised how many people do that in reality... makes my job soooo much fun ;)

AVB put his arm around Bassong as the end of the Stevenage game - probably nothing in that as he was greeting all the Spurs players as they came off but I think he suggested in an interview after that the Academy graduates played well and that he was pleased with them as well as others getting a run out, as if they were in the shop window. Bassong springs to mind.
Certainly seems to be no takers for Bassong as yet, however being behind Verts and probably Caulker in the pecking order isn't going to please him much i wouldn't have thought.

Never been a fan of Bassong, great athletic ability but find it really annoying ever time he lets the ball bounce before dealing with it, never feel comfortable when hes on the pitch, decent squad player but would rather he stayed on the bench.

Reminds me of Antony Gardner. I always squeeze my fists in panic when the ball is played to him. Also yesterday was a bad day for me... I saw JJ in a Tottenham kit. I thought them dark days were behind me :(

I thought Malaga were ownedby Qatari billionaires?
There were some unpaid wage issues (four players filed against them) that might have pointed to possible financial trouble. Looks like all four players have withdrawn their complaints now, so for the moment, they'll not be having league and champions league sanctions imposed on them. Though that doesn't mean they're not in the process of financial meltdown...

Didn't Cazorla cost them around €20m, unless Malaga are in dire straits for cash I can't see them letting him go for any less. So that puts us automatically out of the running.

@TomCStandard: Adebayor: heard yesterday he's unlikely to sign 4-yr-deal as it stands. Doesn't match City package. Second loan deal, maybe? #thfc #mcfc

We shouldn't have to match City's package for the entire four years. Should only match it for two, and then pay him his non-inflated worth the last two.

I thought Ade wanted to be part of the revolution. He's coming across now as a massive twat.

and what do we look like chasing him and still wanting him. if we want him pay as close to what he wants as possible. end of. otherwise move on to trying to get another top class striker on the cheap.
