Thought wages were sorted with Adeabyor a while back and that the stumbling block was negotiating a fee with City?

This guy is a WUM I believe. He said AVB was house-hunting in London when he was reportedly still in Fiji on vacation.

Also, new ITK suggests that RM is trying to offload Kaka before getting Modric and there are two deals in place regarding Modric. One is just cash. The other is cash + Sahin. You can read more about it here.

Great find, seems to be a legitimately reliable source. The author of the article also added these two statements in the comment section.

"We need to be careful though. The deal won't be announced, nor official, until Kaka leaves and that is a major if."
"What I mean is as I stated in the information, if Kaka finally stays, Modric will very likely not join Real."

people jumping gun as usual.. wages always issue with spurs when it comes to big name players. so annoying. i see scatter gun approach coming by spurs in few weeks. if ade rejects us we are in serious trouble with regards strikers

I don't doubt we have options but I don't necessarily want us embarking on a wild goose chase which I can envisage with Leandro and being left with a horrifying strike force of Defoe and Kane!

I will caveat this by saying I really don't believe this will be the outcome post 1st September but I don't want a repeat of last season with question marks hanging over major areas of our side and lose ground straight from the get go.

The information we've had is that wages were OK.

There are other moving parts here. So calm down before you get all negative. (Again). It's also only mid-July and half of our first team haven't even returned to training.

you know we will wait till last minute to sign any players , always have and always will.

my opinion is we will tie up adebayor deal before start of season and maybe another midfield player who will replace modric and so start the season like that . anyone before deadline will be a bonus then imo which is sad imvho because i think at least half dozen proper players are needed.

You've quite clearly never run a business. And to be honest, you don't actually know what it's about. At all. Not saying that I do, but when you say "money", it's not quite as simple as that. Because, quite frankly, if you don't have it, you can't spend it or commit to spend it. Yes Mr Ridsdale, you can't commit to it without it eventually coming in.

Moving parts? There are plenty of rumours in relation to a potential investment, a potential sale of a star player for £30m+ (Modric) to factor in. If one or more of those don't come off, is paying his wage and transfer fee instalments financially viable? In the same way that you only buy a house once you know you've got mortgage approval. You don't say "yeah I'll pay XXX" and then go to the bank and ask for that do you? No. You don't.

We're getting way off track here.

Any interesting Spurs gossip from around the place?

Presumably just agent talk bigging up his player but we have been linked in the past. Could this be everyone's favourite Aston Villa supporting, Spurs ITK football writer's big moment...?!

Would be quite funny if we signed Tasci, Huntelaar and Farfan this window

i own my own business but in future instead of dealing with bank ill ask advice from you first if it makes you feel better!!! you can dress it up all you want. if spurs were offering adebayor wages close to what he wants or what his team would find acceptable then this deal would be done and he would have been playing tonight. its all about the money. we have a chairman who is not prepared to spend a penny above what he see's fit and thats where the stand off is. im sure it will be resolved but i really dont get what selling modric has to do with this.. we need a striker and been spurs im sure they would like a good one so pay the fucking money and if they sell modric im sure been spurs they would like a big name but that cost money too.. everyone knows we need strikers and everyone knows we will need modric replacement.

if we were clever we would and should have already got both striker and his replacement in already. persoanlly thought offering inter a wheelbarrow of money for leandro and oscar way back in may that would have been paid off and guarenteed by madrid buying modric was a no brainer but for some reason we act the maggot. Im sure those two lads arent on huge huge wages either . obviously different story if they had no interest which seems likely but offering them too good a deal to turn down and im convinced they woudl have been ours.

we have not signed a striker in two years maybe longer so if its a case of not been able to afford adebayor unless we sell modric or get money into club then i really despair. we are chancing our aim that way. we got lucky last year in that we got adebayor on loan without paying transfer fee but now when push comes to shove lets see what we can do shall we!!!

Lengthy email exchange between a Spurs fan and a ''Football Agent'' which says :

1 Spurs have signed Fryers (on a 4 year deal) subject to paying compensation as determined by Transfer Tribunal (after negotiations with Man U could not agree a fee for development). Based upon Bostock transfer we sould know fee in a couple of weeks. Spurs have also signed Hall (both aged 19/20 - threads for both in Transfer Rumours)

2 AVB wants to bring Lewandowski to Tottenham

Start from bottom of tweets and work up to understand the exchange

Football Agent@FootyAgent92
@Matt_davis95 There's nothing to go wrong with this one now..The problem was #MUFC‬ and Spurs could not agree a compensation fee

one minute you say he has not signed..Then you backtrack and agree that its done but not confirmed.. make your mind up

gone a bit quiet now you have realised what you were saying made no sense at all?

your exact words 'therefore he has not signed yet' I was just stating that he has

but he is now officially a spurs player...Signed on a 4 year deal

and yes it cannot be confirmed on the official site until the compensation package is settled

has signed a contract with Spurs as he was a free agent therefore can sign for whoever he likes...

he spent the day at Spurs today and has signed...

of course it can! You don't go to a tribunal unless you have signed the player...

he has signed..He is/was a free agent. Therefore free to speak to whoever he wanted too..However Spurs must pay compensation

cannot be confirmed until the compensation package is settled

I'm sure Tasci's agent has the right of it. Another CB is just what we need.
I guess if Gallas foillows King out the door then we would be rather short on the CB front with Dawson, Kaboul, Vertonghen and Caulker.
