Much stronger team then i taught... looks like we are going for it. COYS!

as we should do, it is a semi after all, even though no-one usually gives a toss about the competition. massive chance for mopo to get some serious momentum going.

Because it's a choice between them two. One is given blind support despite doing nothing in 18 months, the other has a 1 in 2.5 record in the league for Spurs, yet is the most hated, despised, laziest, unprofessional and useless player according to Spurs fans. How can that be?
Stop categorising all of us under 'Spurs fans'- there is an unfortunate minority that have those opinions about Ade

Ade was pretty upset after being jeered v Sunderland.
Poch has started him as captain so he can prove everyone wrong.
Seems to be when he is at his best, so fingers crossed we get a performance.

See, I really dont get this mentality at all. But I guess its a cultural thing. Booing players who dont perform and act like twats is perfectly normal in America.

Booing players who play like shit, and act like twats does not equate to not supporting the team. In no way, shape or form does it equate to that. If players dont want to get booed, then they should start taking responsibility for their play and work to improve and keep their head down and out of the public light. Pretty simple, actually.

Has to be a cultural thing though.
Interesting point. I remember taking my American wife to her first match at the Lane. Her reaction was culturally based too. She quite fancied watching Spurs, because it was so different from sports in America and so much more enjoyable.

Good! I'd expect him to be! I'd also expect him to fucking give a shit and prove the boo birds wrong! This is his chance to prove them wrong.

They will work, chase everything, sit deep, tackle hard and harry us- I hope we can match them in endeavour and will because that is what will allow our superior ability to become apparent but also not become too cavalier + impatient while trying to break them down as they can play incisive football too if we allow them space.

Lets hope we Harry them!

Its not normal here at all. Even when i was a kid in the bleachers at Fenway people would get heckled for doing that shit. You should see what happens at Steelers home games. Its a douchebag move no matter where you are

Adebayor as captain seems crazy but who knows maybe it will be a stroke of genius. There's a top quality player in there and we saw it at times last season when he came in from the cold. Consistency and effort is always in question but with Kane on fire now maybe a rotational role would be best. It's also possible that this is a last attempt to sell him. It was always going to be difficult to sell a player on high wages who isn't in the squad.

I like the team though, only 1 defensive midfielder, 1 pacey winger and 2 strikers. I think we play our best football with that type of lineup.

I really really hope adebayor has a good game and gives us fans something to maybe look forward to in the near future. Big couple of months ahead.

I'm not his biggest fan but no matter what I always want anyone who wears our shirt to do well and prove me wrong.

No need to be pedantic, it's obvious I'm talking about before this weekend.

Well yeah, but he's been training for weeks, comfortable got through 30 mins or so on the weekend. Not too sure what else is needed for match fitness other than matches, tbh. If he was a winger, or full back, then fair enough, but he's not known for being much of a runner anyway!
