Nothing against Trippier, but I'm glad he's played tonight so people can stop claiming he's the saviour of the right back position, that he'll fix all of our team's problems and eradicate world poverty. He's just a normal right-back, and whilst people rag on Walker non-stop when he plays, it's now been shown that he's not the only one who can sometimes make bone-headed plays.

After all, if we stopped playing guys after they made stupid mistakes we wouldn't be able to field an eleven for the match after we enacted that policy. ;)
Hopefully he won't be judged quite so quickly but I get your point. Some players do come in for some unfair stick.

Soldado passed his curse onto Lamela obviously.

Clive Allen's a twat. Lamela's winning the ball back time and again with his pressing and has been instrumental in most of our good scoring opportunities. Playing well and desperately unlucky with the goal

It's not even as if you can say Lamela hasn't been given a chance. Potch has given him more than enough time to impress.
He might as well be given the rest of this season, I think that's fair, I think he will do well elsewhere if we do sell, in spain or back in Italy. I hope we can get the best out of him.
