And if you need any more incentive, I bet the prawn sandwiches at Stamford Bridge are amazing! (y)

Having a 2-goal lead should prove a distinct advantage to us. That would force them to attack and leave space for quick counters.

There will be a few of us in the Shakespeare (Victoria) from about 1:30 onwards. Open invitation to join for a few beers before the game!

It's not particularly complicated. The U-21 manager is Southgate. Before that it was Stuart Pearce. Between them they held a pivotal post for spotting young English talent for the last 8 years, and both are pretty useless.

That is not exactly true is it?

Stuart Pearce was solely the U21's manager.

Gareth Southgate is Head of National Teams which ends and culminates in being the u21 manager.

Gareth is responsible for implementing changes across all youth football after he personally completed a youth development review. He has a much greater responsibility than Stuart Pearce ever did.

You call them both "pretty useless" but what do you actually base this on? What more did/do you want them to do in their respective roles.

I have heard Gareth speak at a few seminars, and I also read his development review - he seems pretty clued up to be honest. The problem comes with working for an organisation which is predominantly fifty years behind the rest of the sporting world.
