The Jamie Carragher analyzation of how we took no chances and we’re not brave was spot on.
Every time Winks would hint to pass forward only to back pass and put the defense under pressure.
And the midfield just did not want the ball, all the long balls went straight back to City.

It’s been a few days but I still can’t work out why mason thought having winks sissoko and hojbjerg all on the pitch at the same time was a good idea

I have watched many finals in the past where the team that was outplayed for pretty much 99% of the game, somehow find a way to get a win.

Bayarn v united cl final 1999
Arse v liverpool fa cup final in early 00s
Ac milan v pool in instanbul
Bayarn v chelsea

There have been many others.

I just wish Spurs would one day get some luck in a final, we definitely had some on sunday but obviously not enough.

I hear you, but you've undoubtedly heard the saying "you make your own luck"?.

By (once again) setting up with a cowardly selection, and then making nonsensical changes that made us even more cowardly, we never had a chance.

It was pathetic & very much summed up the state of our club right now. Gutless from top to bottom!

Luck is when preperation meets opportunity! We make our own luck, not by being overly careful and passive!

Funnily enough, I thought City were actually off the pace on Sunday, with a lack of urgency and the fact they didn't score until late in the game exemplifies this.

But of course, they're an incredibly talented squad so they'll always be difficult to beat.

In many respects, a Burnley or a Leeds may have pulled off an upset on Sunday if they were in the final; teams who are less talented than us, but with more character, taking on a City team that weren't 100% on the day.

There was one (and I think it was only one!) move in the first half where we played out from the back and broke their press. And this was the result of playing the ball forward, quickly and our players looking for the ball.

I do also think having a proper target man would help in games like these, especially now that Kane can play in the 10 role, so won't need to be dropped.

It would also vary things, so we wouldn't have to go 'long-ball' all the time, but change it up to keep the opposition guessing.

It also highlights what a poor job Jose did during his tenure at the club. Even if the football was boring, you'd have thought he'd have instilled a bit of courage, organisation and a game-plan.

What in the hell was he doing on the training pitch, every week?

City have trapped PSG in their own half and forced them to hoof it up the pitch all 2nd half. PSG have totally melted down under the pressure.

Maybe our players aren’t all useless, lazy cowards?

no one expected us to beat city. The result wasn't a shock, it was the performance and general lack of guts. Don't see how that's so hard to understand

We have been shit under Jose for a year plus drilled to just defend, did you expect us to suddenly transform into world beaters? The fact that we were trying to play out from that back and we only lost 1-0.

Too many spurs fans live in this Fifa football reality.

Its nothing to do with Jose. We did the same under Poch in CL football. I don't see what FIFA has to do with anything, there has been a poor mentality throughout the club for years hence why we never win anything. We cant keep pointing the finger at Jose.
