The only time i have ever seen Janssen facing the opponents goal with the ball in when he is taking a penalty.

I just don't get his game at all.

exactly. in basketball terms hes too much of a post up player. too much back to the basket. we definitely need him to face the goal more instead of always being the in the build up. him being so deep doesnt stretch defense.

We are playing 2 attacking players at home....that is why we are struggling

i do not like janssen's style as a striker. rather drop him, move son to ST and gkn to the side

What a dull game. Do we really need six defenders on the pitch at home to Villa? It's not like they're attacking or anything. Get one of the centre backs off, bring N'Koudou on. Dier can still drop back to allow the full backs to push up.

A football managers biggest fear is when he hears the commentator say:

"And Allan Huthon is the last line of defence here"...

Let's be realistic, it's always going to be hard going creatively when you have Sissoko, Son and Janssen as your attacking three. In isolation you can fit them in, but all together it becomes a bit of a first touch vacuum.

Onomah on for Toby.

Not convinced this is a game that you need three CBS and Dier holding..

personally i feel the reason why we play 3cb even in this game is to get the 2nd string players used to this formation.

This 11 doesn't look threatening with 3 at the back. 3 up top vs two rows of 4 isn't working. Way too defensive for a championship team at home

Making nine changes is way too many changes in one go. Too many defensive minded players too

Would revert to a back four and put Onomah on for Toby or CCV if no joy after 45.
