How would the historic link strengthen the brand?

I get the kit having some link to our history, but its always been part of the design, no the logo.

As we will be playing away from the lane, and out of the tottenham area i dont think the club should be changing the badge as well.

Our bage would also have to be smaller to accommodate the sheild and still be with in the rules on logos and sponsors.

I get your point about the badge being smaller. But disagree with the sentiment about it weakening the brand. I have framed photos of the double winning team in my study. That our club has a rich history, and the most successful side in that history wore the cockerel logo on a shield / badge strengthens my affinity with the club and our traditions. Also, the scene of that greatest triumph in our history happened at Wembley, which will be our home for next season. Wearing the new kit. Lots of things are aligning for me.

Ultimately it depends on the actual kit next year. But if it looks anything like a modern take on the 1961 cup wining kit (pic in link below) then I will be more than happy ...

Interesting that Under Armour has ranked higher than Nike in this Harris Poll for corporate reputation.

http://www.theharrispoll.com/reputation-quotient
Under Armour is an American company that people think makes their stuff here(i should look at my spurs shirt and see if it is) and cares about their workers they have a higher reputation among people who like to be known for being socially conscious. Nike is pictured as this massive monolithic structure that uses child labor and had to build nets outside of its factory in some horrible village in China. But brand recognition and leaking cash Nike is the one you want to be associated with

You're confusing nostalgia and brand identity.

The next @yankspurs who is looking for a football team to support isn't going to see a shield on our shirt and think about the double winners

I believe the UA shirts are made in the Phillippines.

Also, UA's good will among socially conscious people has been completely destroyed because there CEO said Trump could be asset for business(which is probably true if you look at what he says regarded business) but you cant say anything like that in todays world without getting absolutely killed by anyone and everyone.

And you're confusing marketing and brand identity. History and nostalgia can be a big part of brand identity. When Coca Cola use glass bottles designed like the ones from the 50's is that just nostalgia or brand identity?

Oh God they're bad. Really bad. Looks like they have stains left on them after someone threw up, let the vomit rest on their chest, then watched it slowly dribble on to their trousers. Not a look I go for outside of a Saturday night.
I'd quite like all three if they got rid of that stupid massive cock on my chest. The last time I said that was in Vegas at 4am and things had got a bit hazy...

I'd like them too if they got rid of the cock, the club's name under the badge, and the overall designs.

I'm not really keeping up, are these confirmed now then? That silhouette cockerel is something you'd get on a mid-90's kit.
