He stopped going for shots and tried to play it safe. Allowed Zverev to dictate the breaker and he took full advantage.I missed it - was it Norrie falling apart or Zverev raising his game?

Not a good time to change a winning game!He stopped going for shots and tried to play it safe. Allowed Zverev to dictate the breaker and he took full advantage.
Pretty boring women's final all in all. Hopefully tomorrow's will be better. Really looking forward to a final without Djokovic to be honest and with these two particular players as it feels more 50/50.
I have to admit I still hate the state of women's tennis. Such a lack of big characters like there used to be and to me (admittedly also because I don't watch WTA) it seems like there are just new people I've never heard of in the latter stages of every grand slam
I tried to watch it, but with Sabalenka literally screaming as though she'd been shot every time she hit the ball, I gave up.
Should be good match tomorrow, and yes, good to see one without Djokovic. It's time tennis moved on from the big 3.
Aha, yeah I'm not her biggest fan either. Always felt like the semi with Coco was sort of the final really.
Yeah I agree. I still massively appreciate that I can still watch one of the best players to play the sport still play at the highest level, but purely from an entertainment aspect, there are better match-ups to be had that don't involve him.
I think if anything it's maybe more a question of whether Sinner can reach his heights rather than Medvedev, as I think the latter will perform regardless. Hopefully the occasion won't get to Sinner and we'll see him at his best too.
Medvedev playing well, Sinner's level lower then the semi. Early to call, 1-1 second set, but that has to change if Sinner's going to win.
