I see one of Burnley's best players was sent off today, meaning he'll miss the Chelsea game. They seem to catch every break going and play every team, bar us, when they're out of form or missing players.

Even if Chelsea had lost today we still wouldn't have won the league. We do however, have a realistic chance of finishing above Arsenal this year. Like I said before - five teams going for three CL places and we're currently in first place.

And only Liverpool of the top 6 away games to go. And no more games against City and Chelsea. Ours to lose.

Saw Chelsea for 90 minutes for first time today, as a neutral. They look so balanced. Kante is their best player. Unless he gets suspended or injured, there is no way Chelsea are going to drop 9 points to second place team in remaining 15 games. But all we could for now is do our bit & keep in touch with them as much as we can. Atleast, Arse & Liverpool dropped points - we look to be stabilising the 2nd spot for time being

It does feel a bit like deja vu. Team above us with. No distractions. Less games. More time to prepare. And this year they have a fucking good team. I'm happy we seem to be the only team that apart from Chelsea looks pretty consistent. Do I think we will catch them? At the moment. No. But. Two or three injuries. To them. And who knows. I want to keep believing. There are stil 14 games to go. 42 points to play for. And only 9 points from me the summit. And I would love it if we beat the money bags. Still lots to play for.

That's true - although on the flip side we have no more "easy" games of playing the bottom six at the Lane.

We're in good form and Liverpool are a mess, and we could go seven clear of them if we win next week. But if you aren't lumping money on them to beat us then you either haven't been watching Tottenham for long or you're too stupid to figure out how this stuff works.

In some ways that's a good thing - teams scrapping for any point they can get and putting every man behind the ball because they're away from home. I'd rather the mid-table no hopers who have nothing left to play for.

I expect Liverpool to win next week for the reasons you've stated, but even if they do we're still clear of them in the league. Really looking forward to getting that game out of the way.

Some perspective :
Last season at this stage we were 5 points off 1st place. This year we are 9 points behind, and this year CFC are way more competent and predictable than LCFC were.

Title is already done. We just need to see if we will get 2nd again or if we will bottle it like last year.
I think we won't get 2nd again as we'll lose to LFC and City will win their next 2 games to go above us and solidify 2nd spot. Also what's a differentiator in my humble opinion is City's new striker, Jesus. He'll give them the extra goals that we'll be lacking again this season.

There are days when I think we finished 2nd last year too.

But it was a moral second right, due to fixtures, net spend and the fact that Arse are ****s

For me the league is done.... We ideally needed to see Chelsea slip up in the last two games, and for us to get maximum points.
They have no distractions between now and the end of the season, and that winning streak is what set them apart for the rest and them themselves.
The thing now for us to achieve is to secure a top 4 place, and whilst a draw next weekend wouldn't be ideal for keeping up to pace with Chelsea it will keep Liverpool away from us.
If we finish in the top this season it will be more satisfying than last, simply because we have been able to get it with champions league football being played and with injuries to key men throughout the season, that for example, Chelsea has been able to do for most of the season.

Nice to dream, but the league is over. 14 games left and Chelsea have to lose 3 of them and we need to win pretty much every game.

Based on our last 3 games we have dipped in performance and we have Liverpool away which although they are out of form they will step up next week. We would take a draw all day against them at Anfield which would just widen thr gap. We need to strive to achieve results and performances secure our place in the top 4.

If you are lumping money on them maybe you dont really get what this current Spurs team is all about.

We could win every game from now until the end of the season, and if they maintain their form thus far Chelsea would still win the league. Of course it's never 100% until it's mathematically confirmed, but it's definitely not in our hands - we need to play as well as we have been consistently for the rest of the year, and hope their form regresses from 'one of the best ever Premier League records' to 'just about getting a Champions League place'. They didn't lift the cup today, but if they play not even well for the rest of the season but merely semi-competently for a club of their resources they unfortunately will do so come April or May. All we can do is fight for every point available, cease any opportunity they do present us (and hopefully wrap up 2nd in the process) and go for the glory of the cups.

Despite how poor they have been, with the injuries we have I can't see us winning at Anfield. Maybe if we were at full strength I'd think we could do it.
