The players don't care because?

You could genuinely see today the players didn't care, not one iota.

Why? I see there is a bloke on here who leaks our line ups, maybe ask them why they don't care and let us know the reason? Because it’s bending my head trying to understand it.

Becuase the owners don’t really care or dont care enough to set us up to be competitive so we have a mediocre squad that flirts between half decent and crap performances. The players and management know the ambition of the club on the pitch and so we play to that level.

starts at the very top and filters down to the bottom. How we are on the pitch is how we are run. When Dier is your CCB that is the level you operate at.

Because we've had three and a half seasons of negative, miserable bastards "coaching" them, who regularly have strops and blame them and call them shit if they don't win football matches. They get paid tons, live in big houses, and live amazing lives, so why should they care?

Because the owners would rather line their pockets (via numerous offshore companies) from investing OUR MONEY in property projects.

We wouldn't be able to beat Leicester in final seconds last year, get CL with this set of CBs, beat Marseile in 95th minute if players didn't care. This team lacks quality at the back, more balance and better coaching. Royal would do Rodman levels crazy shit if he didn't care after all the booing. Leicester were given all the time in the world to dominate midfield and they outplayed us, that's all.

I hate to say it because he’s a young homegrown lad but Tangangas performances before the window opened told us he had to go and we had to buy another CB

That’s where are transfer strategy and ambition is

I doubt there are many footballers who would enjoy playing under Conte. There is no room for expression or initiative, just rigid orders and drills that surpress any thing creative.. it’s mentally exhausting.

I like this post as it makes me feel better, I always try to be positive but today’s performance especially after going ahead has stunned me. I agree they put their all in to achieve in the performances you mention. I just can’t work out why that didn’t kick in today.

Once they went ahead, they put absolutely nothing in to the game, did they just think it'd be easy At 1-0?

I’m just being a victim… few beers; and a few tears. Appreciate the reality check .. ??
I get it - today was really a poor performance by the entire squad - so its easy to think we are trolling the depths.

But, hopefully this result will be just a little wobble. We had a few of those last season also.

Yea. I just wished for a Saturday afternoon ‘lift’ given my first weekend off in a couple of months. .. I’m being slightly dramatic in my responses. Thankfully the end of the world is not nigh

Because they’re playing for a manager who won’t commit his future to the job? Doesn’t give you much reason to fight for him.

I think they absolutely care. The City performance showed exactly that. The problem is that some of them unfortunately are just not the level required.

Dier cares about Spurs and wants to win. I will never forget his comments after the League Cup loss to City where he said not winning a trophy by now hurts him deeply. His issue is not about caring, it is sadly that he is a very average centre back at best.

What do they need to be caring about? The club has no ambition. They can turn up when they like, they get paid either way. It’s all just ticking over, while Levy goes through the next cycle of broken promises.

Happy Saturday everyone.

How can they play for a coach who doesnt have faith or believe in them? Or doesnt even want to be here? I work for my boss and not the firm im with. My boss has been great with me and I work not to let him down and in return he pays me more and give sme opportunities to progress etc etc etc

I think the players do care, unfortunately the ones that do care I suspect are the ones some of us want out or not to play. Care and loyalty is a two way street.
